    Using Synology for our on-site backups here. Had no issues with them to date, but cannot make a statement in comparison to Qnap. Might be better of finding something with the best deal as seems there are positive experiences with both companies.

    Restarting the IP helper service did not work. I will try the hotfixes on the server after a meeting that's about to start, but from the descriptions, they don't sound like the problem I am having.

    When I bring up the Direct Access panel in settings, it says connecting under the connection name but goes no further than that. It is definitely not working as I cannot open any networked drives etc. There are no errors on the remote management tool on Server 2012. Any suggestions for troubleshooting this issue will be much appreciated! Thanks a bunch .

    Hi wonderful people. I used to be a teacher but recently converted to the dark side and am one month into my first job as a techie at a large primary school in Kent. It's been great fun to date and I am excited to engage with the community here.

    Hey all. Just started at a school in the last month. They paid someone to setup a VPN that staff could use to access the network from their work laptops at home. This VPN presented them with an alternative log in when they were signed out. However it just hasn't been working for any member of staff and the company that installed it refuse to support because 'it works from their end'. I would like to put in a new service for remote working. Any suggestions and guides on how to get this done? Many many thanks!
