If he didn't get a job or make an attempt to get one, I can see why he did it. I would probably do the same. -

I dont mind using them, however I figured it was fruitless as if the points didn't equate to more than 48 it wouldn't have mattered, but it did. I don't mind being bottom, I can work with it and build up -

I made a massive change to my team...I am top of 1 league, and bottom of this one because of the HUGE deficit it caused me to do them! As for wildcards, not yet. -

I've been in 1997, 2004, 2005, 2007, and 2009 (last visit). I went for 2 weeks at a time, and went during Autumn and spring respectively, wasn't horrible weather, wasn't great either. New Zealands weather patterns for me (went in 2006 and 2008) were roughly the same, but I went at similar times of year. *edit* As a point of interest, almost all of my visits to Japan have been to either Kanazawa or Nagano (flying into Haneda or Narita and getting a train from there), and both my visits to New Zealand have been to Dunedin (flying from London > Hong Kong > Dunedin)

I've been a few times over the years. Japan has a unique climate, much like that of New Zealand I would say. It rains, but no more so than GB in the appropriate seasons. Also, Japan is expensive...very expensive. £100 won't last you long there. And they are immensely private. Talking on your phone in public is frowned upon, as are public displays of affection. Best advice I can offer for food shopping: Go to local supermarkets, and go near to closing time (half hour before they close), you get seasonal and fresh produce at lowered prices as they are considered perishables and won't keep much stock for the next day. Look for restaurants where the locals eat, these will offer you the best food for the best price. There are a few places where you could eat in Tokyo for 500-1000 yen, they are considered cheap, and you can get filling meals for that price, there are places whichwhich will charge you easily double to triple that...but they offer a more substantial meal catering to western appetites. Tourist places you can expect to pay anywhere up to 5000Y for a meal which is a high price. Etiquette and customs wise, Japanese people often get annoyed by misbehaving foreigners, especially those that block the flow of traffic in public spaces or those talking in an annoyingly loud voice in trains or public spaces. If you have a hearing aid, that's a different story as they respect hearing difficulties so accommodate it a bit. There are only some general rules in Japan - but others may disagree with them. 1) Put your phone on silent and don't talk on the phone on trains or public places. 2) Speak quietly on the train or public places. 3) Don't block the passage of other people, it is considered extremely rude and frustrating. 4) Don't be overly loud all the time. Japanese people can be loud and annoying too - but most people try and be respectful of other people. Most Japanese people will either leave you alone or will be happy to have you in the country. They know that you will make some faux pas and most of the time won't take any offence. Do note that people outside of the main cities are quite different than in the country. People in the cities can be warm, but people out in the country are so much different than people people in the cities and much more inviting and welcoming. So to put it simple - try and also get off the beaten path into the countryside if possible and enjoy a true depiction of what the country has to offer.

o2 Tu Go App - Is it as good as it seems?
featured_spectre replied to RichCowell's topic in General Chat
I use the Tu Go app myself, its fantastic. Certainly makes life easier. Got no signal but have wifi? Enjoy still using your phone. At my work there are blackspots which the wifi kicks in and I can still use my service (the blackspots hit every network, its like the room is a faraday cage almost). -
Jujitsu and Aikido (4th dan in both respectively). I trained from 5 years old, and I dabbled in Tang Soo Do (got to Orange Belt, green tag)

BMI is definitely broken. I have dense bones (not big bones, but dense bones) from years of breaking blocks, bricks, tiles, wood etc with my hands/arms/shoulders/feet etc. The average weight of the skeleton for a 6ft adult weighing in at 90kgs, is around 3.7kgs. My bones when I was 16 (5ft 10, 90kgs) however are much denser and were around 5.1kg. Not sure what they are now as I am 160kgs and 6ft, so I can only assume maybe another couple of kgs on top to accomodate the extra mass I am shifting. However, I do not detract from the fact that I am obese, and I am working on it. Fat ratios are going down however, my starting BMI was 52.3, and today when measuring I am 48.7.

All of my competitions were light heavyweight until I hit around 16 and started doing rugby in full force also. Ended up going to superheavyweight catagory, and still kicking backside. Shame I can't now

So why do Virgin Broadband charge line rental?
featured_spectre replied to Dos_Box's topic in General Chat
If you run everything through them, you can generally get a discount on the line rental, however, broadband costs should be covered. Line rental should only be charged if you are serviced with copper and utilise the line for either broadband or the phone. IF you have fibre going to the house, and you don't use the phone, you shouldn't be charged line rental. I am on sky fibre, don't have a phone line with them, and I'm not charged line rental. -
Every car I have purchased has a spare, a blow out or a puncture can happen, and its more of a hassle not having the spare (I can change a wheel on a car in around 5 mins - if that), and generally...easier to have and not need it, than need and not have it.
