Good morning Im running a 2008r2 server with IE11 installed. I'm having a similar issue. I'm trying to install the IE11.admx file I have downloaded from here, ive copied the inetres.adml to the sysvol\domain\polices\polydefinitions\en-us and the inetres.admx to sysvol\domain\polices\polydefinitions. Now when I go to userconfig/preferences/ control panel settings/ internet settings and right and go ne I only get setting for IE 5&6/7/8 can anyone help?

i need a free piece of software, that will do a audit of the network so i can run reports and justify upgrades. needs to have hardware specs and list of software with different versions.

can you not use "net use /Delete"
-
have you tried removing all shared drives in a log on script? but it does sound like you need to run gpupdate/force

Iv had the same problem in the past i i resolved this by installing IP cameras and a large tv screen in the office. left the tv on so the kids could see that they were being watched and it killed the damage over night.

I'm trying to find out some information about SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition with AlwaysOn replication; either synchronous or asynchronous. The replication is fine, but, can you find any information about what's classed as "too high a latency" for synchronous replication? Microsoft just say "you can't do it over long distances" which means nothing. Ideally, I'd like to find latency recommendations for synchronous and asynchronous. And also, if asynchronous, how big a time frame of data could you lose if the primary server goes down. Any sources would be good!

Iv just found this and its seems to have been the issue http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH168587

I'm getting the following error with Backup Exec 2010 R3 Final error: 0xe0009b61 - Backup Exec could not log on to the server with the logon account specified for it. The logon account does not have valid credentials. Ensure that the user name and password are correct in the logon account. The logon account that was provided does not have valid credentials. Ensure that the user name and password are correct, and then try again. Solution A supported hotfix has been made available for this issue. Please contact Symantec Technical Support to obtain this fix. This hotfix has not yet gone through any extensive Q&A testing. Consequently, if you are not adversely affected by this problem and have a satisfactory temporary workaround in place, we recommend that you wait for the public release of this hotfix [/b] Does anyone have the said hot fix? Iv tried calling them but the school can not be found on their system and I need to get this working ASAP. thanks

Hi all Im looking to set one of our servers as a NTP server and then point our sophos web filtering box to that server as it keeps losing sync. Iv looked around the net but all i can find is reg edits to do this on standalone machines. Is it possible to have a server that points to uk.pool.ntp.org and then is a NTP server itself.

hi iv been asked today to investigate whether it is possible to have a Mac suit that authenticates with our AD or do we need to have a separate Mac network. From what i have read it is possible, but the macs wont map shared drives, only home areas? Can i plug in a Mac to our network and log on using the windows credentials or as i suspect will i need to do more to the Mac? ahh this is such a mind field to me. pete
