  1. As far as I know all Sierra related issues are now resolved Driver 5.15.10 and ActivInspire 2.9 are the latest versions. https://support.prometheanworld.com/product/activinspire

  3. Hi It saves the setting per user, so a new user will have to make the choice first time they start ActivInspire. There is no way to set this by default globally for all users. The data is stored at C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Roaming\Promethean\ActivInspire\UserProfile You should only have to do this once per user per machine. If you need to do it more than this then that implies something else is wrong.
  4. As phillyrovers said ealier "Some high level findings from the investigations: Computers that use the Intel 8 Series USB chipset are the most "at risk" of seeing the issue (this is seen in the computer's device manager under Universal Serial Bus controllers - Intel® 8 Series/ C220 Series USB EHCI) Even if a computer has got USB 2 ports, the USB communication is handled by the USB 3 chipset, so the issue could still be seen. The actual "issue" is caused by the Intel 8 Series chipset being too impatient when attempting to talk to some USB devices. When a USB device is connected to a computer the computer sends a signal that says "who are you, and what can you do?" it has been found that the Intel 8 series chipset is sending another "who are you" request BEFORE the device has had time to send it's information back, in effect crippling the communication link. We believe that portions of this were resolved in a driver update which Intel released, and this issue has not been seen on their Intel 10 Series chipset (so far)." this agrees with what you guys are seeing, have you tried checking for driver updates direct from the manufacturer (not within windows) for the USB controller? Can you alter the speed from within the BIOS?
  5. Hi We have had success in this area using regular unpowered USB hubs - worth a go!
  6. Ah ok, what type of board is it as sometimes there are firmware updates that can help as well
  7. Hi Do you know the model and size of the board? have you tried calibrating the board? these might help as well as the above suggestions
  8. Promethean are working with Apple on supporting macOS Sierra and I know that it is not only Promethean products that are experiencing this issue. I have heard rumour of an imminent beta update release from Apple but I do not know if this fixes this issue or not. I am not aware of any timescales from Promethean for full support of macOS Sierra.
  9. Hi If the firmware upgrade does not work then I suggest contacting Promethean Technical Support direct who might be able to assist with this issue. (support.prometheanworld.com) thanks Mark
  10. Hi If you contact Promethean Technical support they should be able to assist you with this enquiry and request for Driver 5.11.7 thanks Mark F
  11. Hi there This sounds like a strange issue. What OS are you using? What version of ActivInspire do they have installed? It sounds like the computer thinks that it has multiple versions of ActivInspire installed so perhaps a full uninstall and reinstall might clear the issue? If things persist then perhaps contact Promethean Technical Support (Support.Prometheanworld.com) Mark
