Hi I am also having trouble trying to find out where to start. I work for a large organisation and we wish to set up a Moodle site initially to supplement our current LMS which is quite limited. We are hoping to host video content, forums, assessments even SCORM content. However, my background is learning and development and I have very limited IT expertise. Could anyone help explain to me in lay man terms what our initial steps should be? Do I need to set up an externally hosted website? Does anyone have a rough idea of the cost to do this? Is the set up relatively easy to follow or would you recommend IT expertise? We have around 6,000 employees and I would like our site to be accessible to all staff, will this affect our ability to use the free tool. Any assistance would be gratefully appreciated.
