[sims] Census Error/Query Codes 3020Q & 3030Q
carwardinet replied to carwardinet's topic in MIS Systems
Cheers Seb -
Hi Anyone having difficulties with query codes 3020Q and 3030Q? 'Please check: Maths GCSEgrade achieved is D-G / 3-1, Uor NR and the student isrecorded as not having afunding exemption. If thestudent is not undertaking themandatory re-take of thissubject, they may not becounted in funding calculations' The students have the grade in of a 3, Not Achieved and No Exemption. I have added them to a resit course in Course Manager but I am receiving the query for each student who has not achieved a 4. I know it's only a query but best to double check these things. Any ideas would be appreciated. Cheers

I use combined view but usually end up having to spread it across 3 pages...it's ok - not a massive issue but just wondered if there was a better way.

Progresso - Individual Exam Timetables - SSRS Report
carwardinet replied to carwardinet's topic in MIS Systems
Cheers Dan - helpful as ever! -
Hi Is there a good way for staff to view a master timetable? It's something that I get asked a lot, but always just end up exporting from Combined View. Problem is it doesn't really look very good and you can only fit two days on a page. Also, not giving staff access to Scheduler for obvious reasons. Cheers Tom

Hi Does anyone have an SSRS report to extract individual learner exam timetables based on the entries made in Progresso? Can't seem to find one but seems like something that should be available as all the information is stored in the exam module. Cheers Tom

[Progresso] Behaviour entry comments in SSRS Reports

You should be able to add Behaviour Entry ID from the Behaviour Entry entity then the comment from the comment entry below it? -
[Progresso] Behaviour entry comments in SSRS Reports
carwardinet replied to NotSoFast's topic in MIS Systems
So have you created a new dataset for Behaviour Comment? To then use LOOKUP as an expression? If so, can you add the 'Behaviour Entry ID' field from the 'Behaviour Entry' entity and then the 'Comment' field from the 'Behaviour Comment' entity? And then LOOKUP the two 'Behaviour Entry ID' fields? -
Morning everyone Does anyone use any software for badly behaved students who are 'on report' (where they have each lesson monitored and sent home for parents to read and sign) Students are conveniently losing their paper versions so would like to get them online. We use Progresso and I don't believe it has any similar function. Wondered if anyone does anything similar/any third party software that is quick and easy for teachers. Cheers Tom

Happy for you - best thing to do IMO

What's the rush for the sake of one half term?

I've never used 4Matrix but have used SISRA for a few years and it is really good. The new EAP system allows you to create your own flightpaths to meet your life after levels assessment structure. This does mean it takes a little work to set up but it's not too difficult and there is a help team on live chat who are great. It's great for finding quick answers and for teachers to delve into their own data (with the right training).

Hello all Is anyone able to record data against subject classes as opposed to recording against the students within the classes? For example, we would like a database to record, on a half termly basis: 'what went well', 'even better if' in terms of teaching and learning for each class/subject. We use Progresso and their help team have confirmed there is no function for this. I wondered if anyone does anything similar using an external database? There has to be a better way than collating on excel. Thanks and happy Friday

Out of curiosity which third party packages are you looking at for assessment manager? Agree SSRS does come across as daunting if you have never used it before. Coming from a SIMS background, I couldn't get my head around how difficult is is to pull basic reports when I started using it. However the more I learn, the more satisfying it is to use. Not to mention it's a great skill to have as a data manager and you can build almost anything if you have the skills.

Hello all What I would like is to be able to add a parameter to reports with an 'Effective On Date' to show the data as of any date in the past. For example, if I have students and classes, it will show students who have left and their class as of that date. For those who have used SIMS, this is a standard parameter before you run the report but struggling to get it working on here. Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated. Tom

Progresso - SSRS Report to Highlight Missing Assessment Values
carwardinet replied to carwardinet's topic in MIS Systems
Thanks, that would be great. I have PM's you. -
I have been using Progresso since September - still very much picking things up as I go along. I have a catalogue of user manuals though which I can send to you if you will find them useful
-
Just to clarify this wont affect their timetables? Really helpful, thanks!
-
Ah great, thanks. I thought this was the case but was concerned staff might lose some groups that they needed. Do you know how I assign them? Or is it pulled directly from their timetable? Also, if there's a way to view which groups each staff member can actually view that would be brilliant. Thanks For you help

Hello all Does anyone know if you can restrict teachers view of assessment screens to only those on their timetable/department? Seems at the minute they have to sift through all groups to find there own... Cheers Tom

Any Progresso SSRS and Visual Studio documentation out there?

Hi Simon I'm in a Birmingham school moving to Progresso in September so any shared ideas sounds great to me. Cheers Tom
