Hi quick answer for you on James's behalf. Email Alias's can be created but Name Alias's cannot currently. However those with Admin Console access can change your name within the user tab to whatever you fancy. Select user Click the three dots Rename However this will mean that your name will forever stay (until changed) as MR. XXXXX.

Good Morning All, Finally! I have been waiting for this for an age.
[h=1]G Suite Update Alerts[/h] Insert and delete groups of cells in Google Sheets Posted: 18 Jan 2017 12:36 PM PST We know that data in spreadsheets isn’t always neatly distributed across entire rows and columns; oftentimes, for instance, sheets contain multiple tables and regions of data that can’t be separated. With this launch, we’re making it easier to insert cells into these sheets without disturbing that content. Going forward, you can add a rectangular block of cells to any spreadsheet on the web, and it will simply shift the surrounding cells down or to the right. You can delete chunks of cells in the same way. You can insert cells from Insert menu and delete cells from the Edit menu. Both features are also accessible when you right-click on a cell. For more information, check out the Help Center. Launch Details Release track: Launching to Rapid release, with Scheduled release coming in two weeks Editions: Available to all G Suite editions Rollout pace: Full rollout (1–3 days for feature visibility) Impact: All end users Action: Change management suggested/FYI More Information Help Center: Edit rows and columns in a spreadsheet

Morning Guys; Thanks Caffrey, On the Drive Front - Drive should be fully controllablefrom your Google Domain - this link from Google Support discusses the controlyou have over Drive at domain level - https://support.google.com/a/answer/2490026?hl=en&ref_topic=2497992- This also delves into full Drive privileges too which can be useful. On the Syncing of your H: drive to Google drive- there is a way of syncing so any files saved on the PC (post set up) auto upload to your Drive folder (a must when using Drive App locally to the machine). https://discuss.howtogeek.com/t/how-to-map-google-drive-dropbox-live-drive-etc-as-a-drive-letter-network-drive/25345 - this link is useful for mapping Google Drive as a letter I.E H: drive. This is per machine and not on a network level. There are some third party applications ou there which offer the same functionality but again this is not network level its individual - app can be pushed from the admin console so its active on each unit. How to set up Google Drive for desktop syncing | - this one is for those who havent done this already - How to sync GoogleDrive App with Cloud Drive storage. If you guys have any questions please do give us a call. -

Fiza, may be better to discuss over the phone but I am really keen to hear your thoughts around team drive as you have access to it before we do! sometimes the big boys (Google) provide the tools to the end users and forget about those who actually support the end users. Any feedback you can give me around Team Drive and any other early releases you have access too would be incredibly useful. Cheers Nathan -
Evening All, @jmak i have PM'd you with my details, would be great to talk about your G Suite use and how we can help.

We @Haptic ship more ASUS C201's than any other unit. I assume its the price point on them which makes this the most popular. ASUS are due to be releasing the C202 education ruggedised chromebook mid next month which will be more expensive but less repairs will be required so this may outweigh buying a cheaper lesser built unit - Spec Sheet - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4GLYStYeHYkV1VkTUlWdjY2eE0/view MIS wise. Google will be releasing an app update for Classroom in the coming months. This update will allow Classroom to bridge between your MIS and Google as a heads up for all Google heads out there. P.S that info didn't come from me EDIT - New to Blogging and haven't mastered the hyperlink yet!

GADS - any way to have different settings for different people?
Haptic-Nathan replied to fiza's topic in Cloud Services
Hi Guys, Sorry to jump in late to the party. I had the initial question raised not too long ago and found the below answer really helped them. "In GADS, under User Accounts, on the Additional User Attributes tab, set the Given Name Attributes(s): to "givenName" and the Family Name Attribute(s): to "sn" - that will give you first and last names from AD. if you have modified the Display Name field to differ from the givenName + sn, you could pull that using the displayName attribute for one and leaving the other blank. You can see the data element names in AD by going to View and checking Advanced Features, then opening a user property page and going to the Attribute Editor tab" I wont take credit - https://plus.google.com/wm/1/112355683362771600307/posts/Rob49hspX6y Good old Googlers - Hope this helps -

Hi All, My name is Nathan and im joining you all to hopefully spread some hype and cheer for GAFE as well as answer any questions around cloud services that may crop up. I have worked @Haptic (formerly CP Ltd) for well over 3 years now and have escalated myself to lead the team introducing Google Apps for Education to schools nationally. Aside from my working life I am a keen PS4 player - Titles such as Destiny, Division and rocket League seem to take up most of my time. For all you PC gamers out there i'd love to join you but I am unable to remortgage to afford it Thanks all and look forward to speaking with you soon Nathan M- 4,289 replies
