My 6+ on 9.3.2 does this every now and then. Always starts working again after re-locking and unlocking the phone. Had it happen when someone was ringing me and couldn't answer the call, very frustrating!

I've only recently gotten into SC2 last month as a few friends had it and raved about it. Not completed the WOL campaign but started HOTS and really enjoying it... feels like Blizz really pushed the "Swarm" theme with the ability to create a massive army really quickly. Multiplayer wise, im still learning... mostly enjoy 3vAI, or 2vAI, but 1v1 is fun when people dont cheese! Really enjoying it so far

I got two of these in crossfire at the moment, and bios flashed them both... such an excellent card for the money. I wouldnt buy one from a shop now with the intention of flashing as i believe the latter runs of them dont have the switch... but that one on ebay could be a serious bargain if it finishes below £70 or so. Mine still run the latest games on max at a very playable fps (usually 60+)

Are you looking to actually upgrade or just replace? The 280 is, i think, faster than the 650. The 650 is a low end card. For games, imo, you want more than 1Gb vram, so go for something with 2gb+ if you can afford it. Why just nVidia? From a quick look (its been a while since i looked into GPUs admittedly) you get more bang for buck with ati at the moment. For reference, check out this: GTX285 vs 650: AnandTech - Bench - GPU12 GTX650 vs HD7850: AnandTech - Bench - GPU12 And for pricing, HD7850: HIS HD 7850 IceQ X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (H785QN2G2M) with Tomb Raider & Bioshock PC Games [H785QN2G2M] Or, as HaleStorm posted, the 660 would be better, again for comparison: AnandTech - Bench - GPU12 Hope that helps

Cisco Certified IT Network Training Package. Worth doing?
Dins replied to dany2010's topic in Courses and Training
I've just seen someone, on another forum i browse post this link, for what appears to be the same course but a lot cheaper: Cisco Certified Course 96% Off I dont have time to read it, but noticed course titles are the same... and its a 96% discount. Hope it helps! And best of luck with it Edit: Duhhh its just a voucher so should be good to use... as long as you buy the voucher within 2 days it seems. -
In my opinion, CBTs should be part of the driving test / learning process. Experiencing what its like to be on a bike i think will have a big effect on peoples driving, much more than questions on the theory test.

Frog Update is it me or does it always break things

Our SCORM stuff seems okay (Tested using Mathswatch), and timetables are working again now. -

Firstly I apologise if that's how it seems. It wasn't my intention to go down that road. To add to the list: - The E-Mail system could do with an overhaul. Its pretty dated now and has a few bugs with it, ie; when sending links, they get pushed underneath signatures. When forwarding emails on, sometimes the content disappears. A resource booking system, ie to book rooms, laptops etc out. I thought one was coming, but that was around 12 months ago, and ive heard nothing since... Single Sign On would be good also, i believe development has begun on this, but an update on progress would always be appreciated! Forums need bringing up to date. There isnt much functionality at all in them at the moment. This is just a few things, most, if not all of them have been on the ideapad on the frog community site already. Perhaps Frog could sponsor a support forum here on edugeek, in the same way smoothwall etc do. I could see it being quite beneficial. -

I always do ring their support when we find an issue. Doesnt mean i cant come to a public forum to voice an opinion, or to complain to others, does it? -

Yeah its a known issue. You can set permissions so everyone has read only over the individual file which works, but if you have a lot of docs... -

Anyone who expects any system to be 100% perfect is quite frankly naive. The issue is the fact that frequently when Frog release what should be a simple 'bug-fix' update, other stuff ends up broken in some way. I don't think its unreasonable to point out this fact, and i don't think complaining in such a way is "bashing" Frog, either. If we didn't complain in such a way, how would they know there was issues? -

Bit confused by this, as it says on the vacancies page: -

I don't think its a want of "perfection" to expect updates to fix issues rather than break something each time, is it? I understand systems have bugs, but as i understand it updates and patches are created to fix said bugs, not create more. -

+1 to this. Thanks very much for your reply Mark, its good to know that the criticism will be taken on board I apologise for my tone in my earlier posts, i think it may have come across a bit more harsh than i intended it to. -

As a workaround you can use the timetable widget instead of the brick. -

Perhaps if Frog did theirs properly, we wouldn't need to worry about having to check every two weeks. In a lot of cases, more frequently. I'm just tired of how frequently i find myself having to ring them for something new that's cropped up, to be told the same script lines. When you're not paying explicitly for support, it can be forgiven. -

Our staff timetables are also broken at the moment. Glad to know its not just us having issues with each and every update from Frog. Also fed up with the frequency of updates for the SIMS extractor because it suddenly stops working for some reason unknown to anyone. I wouldn't mind so much if it didn't seem so frequent, but when we're paying for support and they break more things than we do, it gets a bit tiresome. -
Looks good, but from what i can tell theres no dual-bios. So not as much room for error when flashing. Also for what its worth, a quick comparison of 1gb vs 2gb: ** 2GB GFX RAM VS 1GB GFX RAM IN BF3 (560Ti 1GB VS 560Ti 2GB) TESTING RESULTS! - Overclockers UK Forums Hope this helps a bit more

Sorry for double post, but will just drop this here also: AnandTech - Bench - GPU11 Hope this helps!

Im 99% sure you cant do that on these ones, only the standard ones. I got 2 MSI6950 reference cards which had the dual bios so it was no problem, but as the Twin Frozr isnt reference, im not sure if you can flash them (I believe the dual bios isnt there?) I could be wrong, definitely worth a bit of research if you want to go down this route. My choice would be (and was!) the 6950. Cracking cards!

I use overclockers for almost everything. Their support is really good, they helped me when my old GTX280 was sqealing and replaced it with a GTX285 for free. Sometimes more expensive but personally cant fault their service.
