  2. Thanks Drayke, Sorry my mistake Blender only as an exe from the blender foundation and a exe. I thought that msi worked better on windows networks, but it obviously doesnt! If they can browse the network drives, does this allow them to read the files in the network drives? I don't have access to the install myself to test this unfortunately. And, I see you are UK based and at a school that uses blender, you might be interested in the 3Dami.org free summer school
  3. Hi, Im trying to get Blender (2.77a) installed on a Microsoft network. The problem the tech team has had is that once installed it doesn't obey group policies (it's an .exe, not a .msi) and students can access the whole network and C: drive through the load/save interfaces. Is there a way to get Blender to obey group settings or another way to let it run and save only to a students home drive. Thanks
