Thanks! This was done using Windows Server
-
Hi, Just a quick question, I have seen a tool used before where it will scan the file before it allows you to download the file. e.g If you go to a website and you want to download CCleaner.exe that file is scanned by the software once it's done it's scan it will generate a download link. Any thoughts on what this tool is called? Thanks Aaron.

Hi all, I'm not sure if anyone else is having these issues? We currently use Office 365 with Mail app on OSX Current setup Office 365 OSX Sieera 10.12.5 MacBook Air Netsweeper Filtering - Student Proxy (Default Global) - Staff Proxy (Settings needed) Dreytek Router OSX Server (DNS, DHCP) The emails will not download unless you close the mail app and reopen it. If you add exchange within Internet Accounts it says "Incorrect username/password" Screenshot attached I have spoken to the filtering company they're saying everything is fine but when I remove any kind of proxy or remove the filtering all together, simulate a home network.. It will connect perfectly fine and without any issues. I'm just wondering if anyone has seen this before and has a solution? Best wishes, Aaron.

Yes, open Keychain Access and find the certificate and double click it on and where it says "When using this certificate:" change it to "Always trust" and it will prompt you for login password enter that and it will be all okay. Thanks Aaron.

Is there printer set up a null printer? If so under printers within Profile Manager you should be able to add the ipp address i.e ipp://10.140.84.1/printers/FollowMeQueue Thanks Aaron.

What is the name of your filtering system? They inspect SSL certificates... Generally you'll get given a certificate which acts like a certificate for Google Thanks Aaron.

Printing in Microsoft Word for Mac - No 'More Details' button....?
aarongulley replied to Koldov's topic in Mac
Hi Koldov, What pops up? Can I have a screenshot? I'm using Word 2016 and we have these installed across the network without any issues, extra printer based features are found under Copies & Pages Thanks Aaron. -
Hi All, This is beyond me, I have just recently fixed the profile manager as our server some how deleted it's Code Signing Cert and master certificate which is now working fine but since this has been done the bonjour shared element of printing has stopped working and also I cannot access: https://192.168.2.2:631/admin/ which is our admin side of CUPS I'm getting this error message. Please let me know what it is. It's the same error with or without proxy server, I have also tried IE, Firefox same error. Thanks Aaron.

I would personally move to Profile Manager.

Please give this a try sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.apsd APSWriteLogs -bool TRUE sudo defaults write /Library/Preferences/com.apple.apsd APSLogLevel -int 7 sudo killall apsd

A PRAM reset clears all of the cache within the RAM. Please follow the steps below to preform a PRAM reset. Shut down your machine. Yes, all the way down, not sleep or logging out. Press the power button and then press command-option-p-r. You have to make sure you get those keys pressed before the gray screen comes up or it won’t work. Hold those keys down until your Mac reboots again and you here the startup chime. Let go of the keys and let your Mac reboot normally. If that doesn't work, you will need to re-enroll your macbook. If the device is an iPad you can try a hard-reset which is "Holding the home button and power button at the same time until you see the Apple Logo" Best wishes, Aaron.
-
That's good. Did you try a PRAM reset? If possible can you try re-enroll the macbook or iPad and let me know? If that doesn't fix it change another setting like set a homepage or wallpaper and see if the settings change. Cheers, Aaron.

Check that you can get out to the APNS push servers, you can do this by opening a Terminal and running: telnet gateway.push.apple.com 2195 If you are then presented with "escape character is ^ " then you have sucessfully conencted to the Apple Push servers.
-
Hi Sorry, I just read your post? Do you mean Profile Manager isn't updating the macbook? Did you try re-enroll the macbook? Reboot and VRAM Reset Thanks Aaron.

Nice one Arthur.

Can I see your script to bind homefolders and shared drives? Please do remove any ip addresses but replace them with 0.0.0.0:user:pass if you have preconfigured passwords. Cheers.

Hi all, I'm in need of some advice, we are looking to get a document scanner for the office here for private documents rather than using the multifunctional printers which have Scan to Me (email) enabled which makes it secure already. I have found these two scanners but I would like a opinion from someone who has used one. Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 Duplex Document Scanner Epson WorkForce DS-1630 A4 Flatbed Scanner Thanks Aaron.

Ok can you now send me the log? The log is the best way to fix these issues.

Ok can you send me the log from one of the clients? Thank you.

Ok, you need to disable IPV6 this can be done by doing the following.... Launch Terminal Type the following command: networksetup -setv6off Ethernet (or for the WiFi interface: networksetup -setv6off wi-fi ) Note that if the network interface has a space in the name, you’ll have to escape it - for example if the interface is called ‘VLAN 1’: networksetup -setv6off VLAN\ 1 Go to the system settings and verify the command has worked, you should be able to see an extra menu item called “off” with a tick against it.
-
Have you assigned a manifest?
-
Going off that last bit can you ping the printer?
-
Ok.. Could you answer my question if the printers arent within a printer pool? i.e a group of printers rather than standalone IP printer.
