Just something to think about, 4gb of ram now days is not that future proof. Even more so if you want it to last more than a few years. With a 5th gen i5, it would be more invested to go with at least 8gb (1600+ if possible). Reason i say this is that you have the power house CPU, but without the ram, your only a single race horse. aka Can run one program great, not to great at multiple. Even with the quad/ht cores your going to see a decrease in performance when muti tasking. If you amendment on 4gb, go with a i3 top spec, slightly cheaper better for your buck. But thats my 5cents on the subject! Just hate to see wasted cash =)

Issue here is we only have the budget for just the staff, no extras. So when one is down, its out for a while. I would love even 1 extra spare, The amount it would help...
-
Spot on sir, spot on.
-
best one was, i had a member of staff want to constantly bring it over during my course period, and expected it ONLY during that time. so 99% of the week it was in use.... well i say it was but kept seeing it left in the staff room. *pulls hair*

Oh your a squire and a saint! Time to have some fun! -
Many thnaks! Thanks! And my skills was all hand crafted, never had any courses or alike. So being on tor networks and seeing how people did the acts, and how scripts and tools worked was, well made my inquisitive side spark. Just love knowing that people whom can cause harm that way, is something that i can some how stop and provide assistance in some way helps. Sadly i never got to do any of that at my last job years ago, was a QA and boy, i rather not do that again. But if anything pops up here and its interesting i would love to share the story =)

Bet that driver had a sinking feeling.... *cough* -
Did not even see this post! Hi guys, from Colchester in good old "but really terrible" Essex! I have not long been made a IT Apprentice..... at 28. Long story but Bipolar, family.... you know the drills. But after working in game development years ago for a big major company *they make final fantasy* I wanted to use my brain for some good. After years of hardware knowledge, and pen/hack testing, and the love of helping people... i finally got accepted to work within a school and help everyone out with my knowledge! So far, i feel amazing and i hardly have a frown on my face now days =) Most of my skills come from hands on experience, my frist machine was a Atari 520STe at the age of 4ish. My frist major upgrade to the machine was going from 512k memory to a outstanding 1Meg! after that i was attached to coding and physical upgrades. My frist main PC i brought myself was a intel pentium 4 HT 2.3ghz machine with 1GB ram, and from there, you couldn't remove me from a PC. During this time also spent alot of my time doing Professional gaming, used to play Counter strike 1.2 to CSsource and Dota on Warcraft 3 back in its early days. Sadly, Ex girlfriend ruined that one for me, but for the better. *bipolar+stress+no rest = upset Xell* Anyway that is an insight to myself, and i am not the most skilled, but i hope now i am on course to at least having something i enjoy and making something of myself. =)

Aye i herd they where working on fixing a lot issues related around the game. think they expected a ETA around end of may. And i agree, more complex characters should be more powerful, but degrade based on other factors. Simple should be fun, and able to hold their own. But ultimately its got to have a curve based on the characters.

it still keeps on the HDD regardless as its based on the erprom firmware chips. Gets even worse if its on a SSD. IF its really old, it keeps on CMOS. "if" your hard drive is pretty old, attempt a CMOS reset. You can try brute forcing your way in using tools in Herins boot cd, or F4UBCD. Hell even some linux bootable distros you can use some tools to crack in. One i have used in the past is MHDD v4.5, it basically resets the eprom data. But be warned as this can also brick the hard drive. To Original poster, what HDD are we talking about? Do you know how old it is?

Cracking HDD passwords are a pain. Requires alot of time and effort, and unless your used to forcing your way into a device. I recommend just a replacement.

Ah i had something alike back in my own house. What is the BSOD error code your receiving anyway? Also a good thing to check is the voltage usage of the power supply, try hwinfo HWiNFO, HWiNFO32/64 - Download and check the power supply voltages, if they flux to much, could be a indication of power input failure to the power supply. Then it be a check if a surge would be helpful, and using tools if you have any to check the sockets power out-take.

I enjoyed both quite well, Overwatch has that fast paced TF2/character skill based combat. While Battleborn has the comical, moba, pvp style battles. Sadly i feel battleborn characters need some nerfs and the game needs some more maps.
-
Aye, i am on the pc front, its horrid. Oh well hopefully they can arrange a anti hack that works, and redeem for the bad service. If not wont be playing.
-
I tend to main D.va with her suicide bombs, and attempting to get better with tracer. Though, did well with Reaper every so often! Again why i love the game as every one feels very unique and has that awesome tf2 feel. Ah the Division im keeping away after the damn hackers and glitchers in DZ, untill its fixed keeping away. Which saddens me since i LOVEEEEEEEE the damn game. Just cant justify making some kiddies evening with their hacks. But not to keen on the battleborn then?
-
Thing with Overwatch is that there tends to be a counter for everything. 2 bastions aka the turret robot guys, just use the lass with the jump pack and rocket launcher with aussy guy with the grenade launcher. Just means teams got to be flexible to switch out when needed.

Due to *Inside rates* i get my deluxe copy for about £12. So extra free stuff and having fun for that price is a no brainer for me... hell even 30 is fine with myself.
