  1. Full-time position - up to £22K plus benefits* Due to continued expansion at Blue Box IT, we have an exciting opening for an enthusiastic and skilled ICT support technician to join our team. Blue Box IT is a leading provider of IT hardware, support and services to the Education sector, and we are now looking for a talented ICT Technician to join our team on a permanent basis. Your role will be based at partner schools with occasional travel required to attend meetings and provide additional support, at either the company's offices in Sheffield or other customer sites. This is an autonomous role which will require you to provide a broad range of 1st and 2nd line support across a wide range of technologies and environments. Being a good and confident communicator is also key to this role as it will involve wide ranging engagement with both school leadership teams and teaching staff whilst performing your day-to-day duties. Working across both Primary and Secondary school environments, this role will be varied and challenging and will involve the following key responsibilities:- ·build, setup and install equipment, perform regular monitoring and maintenance on the school servers and network equipment. monitor and maintain school backup solutions. fix any issues associated with various classroom technologies. assist with equipment installation and specific hardware replacement projects. work closely with the Blue Box IT remote support team to identify, prioritise and resolve all outstanding support requests. Required Knowledge and Experience • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7/10 deployment and fault resolution.• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server/Network Services installation and administration (TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP).• Good understanding of LAN & WAN network infrastructure. • Professional ICT skills in implementing and maintaining Microsoft Office 10/13. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Good analytical and problem solving skills.• Clean, full driving licence and own vehicle. Desirable Knowledge and Experience • Experience of operating in a similar support role in an schools/education environment• MCSA/MCSE/CCNA qualified.• Experience of AV installation – projector/IWB/Display installation. • Experience of resolving Capita SIMS/FMS technical issues.• Experience of working with virtualised VMWare/Hyper-V environments.   2. ICT Support Technician – Part-Time, Term time Only Hours: 18 hours per week, term-time only. Salary: up to £19,500 per annum, pro-rata depending on experience. (up to £7,020 pa actual) Closes: 09/09/16 Due to continued growth at Blue Box IT, we have exciting openings for enthusiastic and skilled ICT support technicians to join our team based in premises in the centre of Sheffield. As a specialist provider of hardware, support and training services to the Education sector, we are now looking for a part-time ICT Support Technician to join our team on a permanent basis. The role will predominately involve travelling directly to client sites each day, with occasional remote support responsibilities when based in the company’s Sheffield offices. As an ICT Support Technician responsible for a small number of different primary schools, your role will be to resolve day to day ICT issues in the schools, build, setup and install equipment, perform regular monitoring and maintenance on the school servers and network equipment, monitor and maintain school backup solutions, fix any issues associated with various classroom technologies, and from time to time assist with equipment installation and specific hardware replacement projects. This is initially a part-time role that may increase in hours and responsibility if this is of interest to the successful candidate. Required Knowledge and Experience • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7/10 deployment and fault resolution. • Good understanding of LAN & WAN network infrastructure. • Professional ICT skills in using and maintaining Microsoft Office 10/13. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Good analytical and problem solving skills. • Clean, full driving licence and own vehicle. • Enhanced and valid DBS/CRB clearance or requirement to complete enhanced DBS clearance.
