Hi All, I just want some advise for a current set up I have in a class room. The set up we have is a powered splitter used for a projector connecting to the smart board. We then have another VGA in the powered splitter for a monitor we have installed because visibility is poor at the back of the classroom. We want our second monitor to freeze when the projector is froze, do you have any tips on doing this? We have tried to daisy chain from the projector but unfortunately this did not work. Would anyone have any ideas on what I can do as staff cannot use the machines when they have stuff open on the board. Thanks

Hi, I have recently been having issues setting up remote sessions with Leamis and RM using Bomgar. We have used Bomgar for a while and a issue has just recently popped up which is preventing us from allow these companies to dial in. When the session is in progress and being set up, Bomgar will automatically download in the browser. When I run the program I get a message that says "Connecting to server". We're a RM school and use Schools Broadband internet and web filtering. I have raised calls with both companies and this issue seems to still be occurring. Having spoke to an agent on regarding the filtering side, he said if he was to open port ( 443 ) this would mean all HTTP address could be unfiltered and without hesitation, no was the answer. I did some investigating myself to see if Bomgar was using any external URL's, I found nothing from doing this. I have manually add the required ports ( 443 - 80 ) to the firewall on the PC but this also did not work. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do as this is really putting us back. Hi All, I am currently looking at locking down 2 Windows 10 laptops that need to be used for exams. I need to know how I can get rid of the A-Z apps in the start menu so it is completely blank! I also want to be able to disable any sort of spell checker and hide the C:/ drive from there user account. The only thing they can really use is Microsoft word/powerpoint and have access to a folder in which they can save there work to. Does anyone recommend any software that would do this for me? Or steps for me to be able to do this myself? Thanks, Taylor

Hi All I have seemed to fix the issue. It was very frustrating as it was so simple. Hi all, Thank you all for your responses. I have tried everything that has been listed. When I do change anything from the bios, upon restart i type in my code to confirm this and go back into the bios to check if I can then enable legacy support but it appears to be that everything is just changing back. I will Enable legacy and disable secure boot onces the pc restarts to process change it changes back to legacy disabled? Would there be something else in the BIOS that is preventing the Legacy support to be enabled?

Hi Tom, After enabling Legacy support I am still unable to boot to windows 7. Hi Boot, We unfortunately don't have windows 7 on a flash driver. Do you know where I can get this from via the rm website?

Hi, Once we PXE boot the only available boot option we have are for windows 8.1 only.

NOTE: We're using an RM CC4 Network Hi All, We have recently just purchased some new HP Prodesk 400 G4 SFF. We have been having issues where we can only build to Windows 8? We have informed RM who have said this may be to do with the GPT hard drive format and follow instruction into cleaning this disk park via CMD. Unfortunately this has been unsuccessful and we're still having the issues with building. We have also been instructed to enable legacy boot which we have done and this has still been unsuccessful. If anyone has any ideas into resolving this issue could you please let me know. Thanks, Taylor

Hi, We have had a Chrome book come to us this morning with some settings that have been changed. The students have managed to go into "Manage other users..." and "enable guest browsing" and "show usernames and photos on sign-in screen" The chromebooks are in enterprise mode and we have managed there settings. when I have logged onto the chromebook with a test student account the "Manage other users" setting is greyed out. Does anyone know how this could of happened? Thanks

Hi, Yesterday we had a report that one of our SMART boards were not working in one of our maths rooms. We went to have a look and it appears that a student has stuck a sticker onto the mirror. This was coursing issue such as the pen was highlighting the board and double writing. We have successfully removed the sticker and cleaned the mirror and the highlighting issue has been sorted but we are still having trouble with the pen double writing. Does anyone have a clue into why this is happening? It looks like there is no physical damaged as of what I can see but other than that on the right hand side of the only does the double writing.

Hi, We have just purchased a new laptop for students to use for their exams. Is there any software that lockdown all of the registry control panel or anything that the students can access to mess up the laptop? we have made a second student exmas account on the laptop would there be any way of changing permissions of this account or recommended software that is compatible with windows 10.
