  1. Unfortunately still having no luck. Flash is still showing an older version number. Managed software updates doesn't show any updates to do either when manually opened.
  2. Thanks for your reply. Just tried this with the Server Websites and unchecked the other flash updates except the latest one with no luck. Do I have to run the terminal command every time? I can only get it to automatically check for updates after that command has been run.
  3. I've looked at your screenshots and ours is set up the same. Flash was installed manually before we had munki. Is Munki only able to update what it has installed? Also that command you sent me about telling the clients where the server is only has an effect if I run it before I restart, and doesn't happen automatically. Here are some screenshots: - - - Updated - - -
  4. Carter, I've run this and get a pop up on start up saying that is is checking for updates and the finishes. The Flash update is not installed and the managed update app also doesn't show up with anything. On the Manifest properties do i need to set Flash Player as a Managed install or Managed Update? And also do I need set any conditions for it? Thanks again.

    Munki Clients

I'm attempting to get Flash updates installed automatically to our Mac suite using Munki and having some issues. I have MunkiAdmin installed on our Mac server with AutoPkgr installed. I am getting automatic Flash updates downloaded to the MunkiAdmin application through Autopkgr but cannot work out how to get the client macs to automatically install it. I have installed Munki tools on each Mac which I someone online said to do. Any advice?
  6. The problem is still there. Seems to happen very randomly, on different Macs with different users. Whereas other users on the same Macs can access their documents sometimes. Extremely annoying and very unreliable.
  7. furby, thanks for that link. I've tried what you have suggested on the other post. Some users can access their documents and their paths are mapped correctly. Whereas others cannot. We are starting to think it could be something to do with cached profiles, but this is purely a wild guess as we are so out of ideas.
  8. Now getting an issue where a pop up will appear saying "the share does not exist on the server......" I have managed to get some accounts to map the windows documents ok but have no idea why most don't work.
  9. It seems to be working pretty well. Apps that are missed or previously failed seem to retry again later and successfully install. Still annoying that i can't seem to work out how to lock down the settings to stop students changing wallpapers, setting pass-codes etc.. And having to press install for each app is a bit of a pain. I've seen people use Apple Configurator 2, but i cant see the point in it as i can deploy apps through the server.
  10. I have set up our Music Macs to map the students' Windows home directory on login, and for most students it works. However, for some it doesn't create the shortcut in the dock. This appears to happen randomly where students can see their home directories on one Mac but not another, yet another student will have no issues at all. I have compared students' accounts for any issue but they are all set up correctly. I've seen on other posts that its been suggested to check the map the local drive tick bock in the directory utility, but this has not helped.
  11. I've got the iPads to receive apps that I assign to their group but they're not installing silently and a pop up appears for each app with an install button that needs to be pressed. Musch better than our old method, but still slightly annoying.
  12. We purchase our apps for deployment through the Apple VPP. We can then assign these apps to iPads individually or to groups. All of our iPads have individual Apple IDs but the apps themselves are purchased and deployed from the VPP.
  13. pixellip, we thought about moving away as we already have an Apple server which we have just set up to manage our Macs. We were having issues with Meraki where we would assign apps from the VPP to ipads, but they would not install them. We would have to manually go into the purchased section of the App store on each iPad and download each app, entering the password each time... Now they have been enrolled onto the Apple server they now get Apps pushed to them, but we have to press "Install" on a pop up that appears for each app, (I'm trying to find a way to get them to be completely silent installations.) Annoying, but a lot better than manually having to find the app and enter the apple ID password for each App.
  14. I have a newly set up Apple server running on a Mac Mini that is managing 10 Mac minis and 1 iPad as a test to move away from meraki. For some reason when apps are pushed to the iPad, 30 will succeed, and 13 will fail. I have no idea why this happens as we have enough free licenses for the apps and storage capacity on the iPad. Has anyone run into this issue before?
  15. We have inherited an OS X Server setup which is used for our Mac Minis to interact with our Windows based network. We don't really know how it works in its current setup and would like to fully reset it back to its original settings. Then we can go about setting the OS X Server back up to how we want it. I have found this link, https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT202523 which details the commands to enter to reset profile manager, or to reset profile manager and delete all data. Has anyone tried this method before and had no issues with it? When we have worked out how to reset the server would we then need to rebuild the mac clients, or could we just remove the remote managemet certificates and then add them to the newly set up server? Thanks in advance.
