The last time I did something like this I used a app called winclone or carbon copy cloner. EDIT: Nope I remember now... I used DeployStudio.

When your desktop is active (finder) click Go -> Connect To Server Use the following: smb://[DOMAIN];[uSERNAME]:[PASSWORD]@[sERVER]/[sHARE]

It looks big but in reality it's slightly smaller than a n97 standard.

Oh don't believe those bunch of halfwits (engadget and gizmodo for that matter are truly awful websites). You can find much better reviews of the N900 out on the interwebs. As for software its Linux in your pocket... how cool! The web browser is Mozilla based and the best browsing experience in any mobile, the email client could be better but it's only a matter of time until some one ports a better client to it and on the subject of 3rd party software that to is coming along nicely but still in its infancy (the N900 only came out a couple of weeks ago!). The N900 has its "issues" but then so does every smart phone.

After a quick phone call to AB Soft i've found out that several other people have reported issues with ABt with SP3 - but only recently... A recent windows security update that buggers ABt perhaps?

Humm even more interesting... After looking at the logs for the ABt Client it was a support program called "restart" in the ABControl folder that shutdown the service and never restarted it again. I wonder what restart.exe does? And why does ABt need to stop and start the service several times during a computer shutdown...

Interesting... I wonder if there is something blocking it on the computer start up...

Has anyone else had issues with the latest version of the AB tutor client with WinXP SP3? The "ABClient" service never starts with windows, if you login and manually start it its fine. Anyone run in to this problem?

Just got four (with upgrades ) they should be fine for some AD and file server dutys!

I've been told they need to use version 3, don't know why it doesn't really look any different...

I get my foundation stage teachers to run it of memory sticks. I wrote some Kixtart script that copies the DB to the appdata folder locally and then back to the memory stick (and the network for backup) after eprofile has quit. It's a pain but it was a requirement that they can use eProfile on any computer (they all have there own laptops but nooooo...) in the school and at home! They just need to be carful with data encryption
