  1. Nope. The machines I'm trying on don't have Java 8 on them already too. I wonder if it works for upgrade and not new install maybe? I think I'll just give up and stay a Java 7 shop for now :-( Wait for Oracle to figure it out.
  2. Thanks. I will give it a try, but have tried other MST's before too. Perhaps using GP vs SCCM is the magic.
  3. The ones I'm trying on currently are 64bit.
  4. Thanks for the info. Can't get it to work at all. Can you tell me more about your deployment that is working? You mentioned GP. Computer or User policy? It fails for me just running psexec -si cmd then running msiexec /i jre.msi. I think this is what computer policy would run as also. Works if I run as admin, but under system account it fails on Win 8/10. Thanks
  5. Any luck with Java 8.65 32 Bit on Windows 8.1 and 10? 8.51 seems to work, last one I tried. MSI seems to work with Win 7, but it fails with the "There is a problem with this Windows Installer..." on Win 8.1 & 10. I have tried Multiple command line options, now tried pre-creating: C:\ProgramData\Oracle\Java\java.settings.cfg as suggested above. Nope, my fingers were crossed too. First time I have seen differences between Win 7 and 8.1 installing Java. Anyone get this combination to work? Or am I alone with this issue? Thanks
