Can any one give us some advice on Windows Licences? We are going to be chucking out some old 98pc & want to replace them with new PCs that we will build from scratch & put XP on them. But as we are building them they don’t come with an OS. Can we transfer the 98 Licence from our old pc to the new pc & buy an upgrade for XP, or can we buy a old 98/nt & then upgrade? Thanks

I am having problems with USB drives, when i log on as a teacher on some PC the USB drive works no prob, but on others it asks for the admin password. We have a few different types of PC & we cant think what we have done different on the Image to make it not work. The latest example is when we got 28 New PC & made 2 different Images (Admin & Class Room) which were started from fress 1 by me & 1 by another Technician, mine works ok for some reason but the other wants a PW every time, The head Technician thinks it could be due to a doggy slipstreamed automatic XP Installation CD? I know we have the Driver signing to Ignore, we have allowed everyone to load & unload Device Drivers in group policy. Could anyone help. (& sorry if i should have put this as a new Topic) Thanks

Does anyone know if this projector is any good, any know problems etc. We have been recommended it with a price of £569.99 (b4 we haggle the price down) Also has any one got a projector fitted in their Sports hall/Assembly hall? We have been told the only way 2 have 1 set up would be to have it hanging down allways in the way geting hit by ball & what not. Thanks

We just got over 10. the first one out the box made a loud noise when it is switch on & 1 of them sometime smudges. Apart from that they r very good vaule for money

Just talking 2 one of the teachers about Net Support, he ask if when the kids logout/ disconnects r they rejoin automatically? As our lot do love to unplug cables etc… @ this time we (technicians) r using VNC but it would be 2 much for teaching staff 2 cope with, even with “VNC Scan Enterprise Console” & I am not in love with VNC. Back in the day when we had win 98 with Viglen ClassLink we had Remote learning. Thanks
