We have used infotone multiple times for collections since starting this thread. You have to make at least 1 purchase with them each year but they will then happily collect compatibles (they do prefer they are their own compatibles). We now buy our toners through them as they worked out cheaper and you get freebies each order!

The school I work for are looking to buy a number of new PCs that are Windows 11 compatible and like the look of the Very PC Flex Micro's and Flex Mini's. We haven't used VeryPC before and are wondering if anyone has used them and what their support and PCs are like?

Finding who has a certain mobile number registered on mfa
jessica replied to jessica's topic in Cloud Services
The number wasn't in our MIS. I got SLT to narrow it down to a year group and ended up going through each student on Azure to check the number. Luckily it was one that was high up on the list so didn't have to manually go through too many of them to find it. -

I did suggest this to SLT but they said they didn't want to due to the nature of needing to find out who it was. -

Thanks, I don't think that actually shows the mobile number, unless I'm not seeing it? -
Hi all, Does anyone know how to run a search on Azure for who has a certain mobile number registered? I've been given a mobile number by SLT and they need to identify who's it is. Thanks in advance

When using the PDF reader is there anyway to have 2 papers and an insert? A couple of our exams have multiple papers and an insert that all get sat at the same time. Thanks

Our students need a variety of colours and not all need the screen masking. Is the only way to set this to create a new config file for each different colour? We currently have 5 config files that get pushed out and the correct desktop shortcut is created by group policy depending on the exam user. Happy to create new config files for each variation if this is the only way.

Just testing out the PDF reader with our Exams Team ready for year 10 mocks next month. Is there a way when setting PDFReader_StartFullScreenReadersOnly to be able to use screen masking as well?

We use ABTutor to block the calculator app as had no success with applocker
-
I think its because you can get it to automatically work out various percentages automatically. It does things like % of a value, % change, Increase/decrease by a percentage.

Just downloaded PCalc and it looked promising. Sadly there are built in conversion tools that can't be used during exams.

Thanks, but it needs to be scientific

Thanks, but it need to be scientific. They seem to be around £500-£600 and mostly out of stock. We already had some old iPads which is why we have been using them for the last few years with no issues until this new update.

Hi all, We have a couple of students who need an enlarged calculator for visual reasons in exams. We have been using an app on an iPad for them but this has now updated and includes percentage calculators which means it can no longer be used in exams. Does anyone know of any calculator apps on iPad that only have basic/scientific calculators. We don't mind paying for the app as we did have a subscription for the app we were using. Many thanks in advance

We had this problem as well as various other issues of kids messing around with the iPad settings (we had locked them down as much as we could). We have now solved all issues by putting them all into shared guest mode. It locks down the majority of settings so they can't mess around with them. If they do change something once the iPad has been locked for the timeframe set (we set ours to 5mins) it logs out that session and resets all settings to the default. Has saved us so much time.

The DfE recommended this to me as the passwords needed to be downloaded from their site before a certain date and they didn't have a copy of them: BIOS Master Password Generator for Laptops (bios-pw.org)

Thanks everyone, I have contacted a few of the companies suggested
-
Thanks, I will have a look at them.

Does anyone know anywhere that will take compatible toners? I've just filled up our recycling box but when I went to contact the company that supplied the box they no longer exist. Ideally somewhere that will collect a large box full for free. Thanks

Not a major issue, but we've noticed when using Screen Masking through the Read&Write toolbar the Candidate Information Screen doesn't get the mask.
-
We are now getting the same issue as well. Have you managed to resolve it?

Thanks, I have tried doing this but I can't work out how to get line managers to only see the employee's they manage rather than all or nothing. I also then run into the problem of the cover team being the creators of the Return to work items not the employee.
