  1. Hi, I'm very pleased that this helped you out. Unfortunately for us, the error came back a couple of days later. I contacted them again and submitted an error dump. They came back to me and said they are looking into the error again for me, bizarrely they then provided me a link to a trial build for future release of Smart 5.1usb that apparently has the fix in it?!?! I installed it and it has worked for a few days with no return of the error. Here is the link if you need to download it https://downloads.smarttech.com/software/education/25.1/win/25.1.356.1/smart25-1usb.exe Its been the bane of my life for over a week! Scott
  2. Hi everyone, Had a weird issue this week with Smart Notebook crashing when you go to save a file. We are using version 24. Upgrading to 25.1 does not fix it. Contacted Smart who were surprisingly quite helpful on the phone, the case was created and referred to the tech department. They came back with a fix, which worked on Thursday but the error came back today. I've emailed them back to let them know and will post here when I've heard back from them. Here is the fix (albeit temporary) if anyone needs it (surprise surprise it's a Microsoft Update issue) - Thank you for reporting this to us and I'm sorry that you are experiencing this problem. SMART is aware of this issue and has been actively investigating; It appears to be related to the known issues documented in the January 2026 Windows updates release notes regarding Save/Open dialog crashes. Please note that this issue is also affecting other applications outside of SMART software. With this in mind we do have a potential workaround. Can you please test the following: Current Workaround: Unregister GROOVEEX.DLL (Microsoft Office's SharePoint shell extension) on affected machines: 1. Open Command Prompt as Administrator * Press Windows key * Type cmd * Right-click "Command Prompt" → select "Run as administrator" 2. Run this command: regsvr32 /u "C:\Program<file:///C:/Program> Files\Microsoft Office\root\VFS\ProgramFilesX86\Microsoft Office\Office16\GROOVEEX.DLL" * User should see: "DllUnregisterServer in [path] succeeded" * Test Notebook's Save As function Note: This disables SharePoint file overlays and related context menu items. If SharePoint functionality needs to be restored, it can be re-enabled using: regsvr32 "C:\Program<file:///C:/Program> Files\Microsoft Office\root\VFS\ProgramFilesX86\Microsoft Office\Office16\GROOVEEX.DLL"
  3. Hi Andy, I've just checked my link and it still works - Drivers If you go to the bottom of the page, you can download all the files as a zip. Hope that helps. Scott
  4. Hi, I've been using 11.4 forever (due to the obscene amount they charge for the yearly license). It runs fine on every version of Windows I've put it on, including the latest Windows 10 LTSC. Only issue I've encountered is the installer puts Flashplayer on, other than that it works (the flash based part has issues though). That said, most of my staff have started using PowerPoint instead due to the fact you can now annotate directly inside the software. Hope that helps.
  5. Hi, Just had a quick look at something (not sure if this answers the question but worth a look perhaps) - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/change-the-location-of-your-onedrive-folder-f386fb81-1461-40a7-be2c-712676b2c4ae#:~:text=Re%2Dlink%20your%20OneDrive&text=Select%20Change%20Location.,then%20finish%20setting%20up%20OneDrive. It's about changing the location of Onedrive files, you could possibly set the new location as the users local home drive and then direct all downloads to it. Files would then Sync to the cloud.
  6. Is there no way that whatever is on the personal device cannot be replicated to a school managed device?? Freaking out a bit at the prospect of someone's personal device casting to the screen! I've deployed Airserver to everyone's machine and enabled a passcode, very effective and doesn't cost a fortune.
  7. Here you go - Hi (again). I now have a fully working LTSC tablet with all the drivers installed. If you use the link I provided earlier, you can download all the drivers to a folder. In device manager update the drivers and point at the folder. I'd suggest updating the 'unknown devices' first as this way you get 'touch' and 'screen rotation'. Updating the others forces a reboot and trying to control the mouse when it's on it's side messes with your head haha!! I resorted to turning it on it's side and plugging a mouse in. 9. Hi, I replied on a previous thread regarding drivers for these little machines. Try updating the touch drivers, here is a link to all the drivers. You can download them all as a zip if required (it's at the bottom) - Toshiba Drivers Cheers Scott

  11. Hi everyone, Just letting you know that I've managed to get this device to boot from the network so it's currently installing Windows 10 LTSC 2021 via MDT. Once it's done i'll attack the driver installation and see what does/doesn't work Scott
  12. Hi, Is there anything listed in device manager as missing a driver? I've got device manager open on mine now and in the Human Interface Devices there is an item called "KMDF HID Minidriver for Touch I2C Device", is this listed on yours? Scott
  13. Hi everyone, I've been reading through this whole post and seeing requests for credentials and links to expired WeTransfer's. So....i've just set one of these devices up and not installed a custom version of Windows specifically so I could export the drivers. Here is a link to all the drivers, individual folders and also a zip file containing them all. I hope this helps anybody that is struggling to set them up. Scott Satellite Pro ET10 Drivers
  14. Quick update..... I've now ended up creating 4 blueprints. Wifi Restrictions Meraki Apps I use Meraki MDM to track the device online and create internet shortcuts on the device and it wont install if the Restrictions blueprint is applied, it also wont install if there's no wifi. So, Wifi 1st Meraki 2nd Apps 3rd Restrictions 4th Seems good now. Cheers Scott
  15. GuyJD, I'm choosing to erase every single iPad and start fresh with the apps from the VPP account, it's the only way to be sure I'll have no problems in the future. I've just set one up and it's done it without any problems. Signed in to Configurator 2 with the iTunes account that I've set up with Apple VPP (it automatically downloads the apps then when creating a blueprint). Erased the iPad with Configurator Clicked Prepare Applied a Blueprint that contained the profile with wifi and restrictions. Applied a Blueprint that contained the apps i've bought (free ones, you still have to buy them even though they are free) Clicked to modify the wallpapers and device name. All done iPad is ready for use and the app doesn't ask for iTunes details when you start it. Winner! Scott
  16. Hi, The only way to roll back is to install a clean copy of El Capitan and then restore portions of the Time Machine backup. I'm only at this school once a week so I've just set up an Apple VPP account and will start downloading the apps previously downloaded with a normal iTunes account. I've already erased and managed to set up an iPad with all the apps and profiles I wanted but every app started asked for the itunes details that it was downloaded with originally, the only way round it was to sign in on the device with the itunes account and it's not something I want to do really. Got my Blueprints ready
  17. Hi everyone, Just a quick heads up that if you upgrade to Sierra it doesn't support AC1. *sigh* Scott
