  1. Ah, now that's where my problem lies. I haven't deployed anything using SOLUS 3 yet, as I only installed it yesterday. If I go to manage updates there's nothing in there to deploy. I must have done something wrong somewhere…
  2. How do I do that? (Sorry for being dumb)
  3. To piggy back workstations with our Avaya phones, I tag the Voice vlan and untag the Wired Data vlan on the port being used for the phone/workstation. Works well (but only at 100base).
  4. Ah, well that would definitely make sense as to why it's not deploying to clients. Does that mean I can't fully test SOLUS 3 until spring release? There's no way of forcing it?
  5. Ok. I have Solus 3 installed and agents deploying (yay) but SIMS isn't being installed or updated (noooooo). What am I doing wrong?
  6. No, it's strange. I've done everything I can think of, and the support guys even seem stumped. The next thing to try is t reboot the server before passing it over to Capita. Joy!
  7. It's SQL 2012 and is indeed 3.6.94
  8. Hi all, My data manager has requested that we have SOLUS3 installed this half term so I dedicated today to do so. Unfortunately I've failed at the first hurdle as it wants to install SQL Compact Edition (both x86 and x64) as a prerequisite, but is failing. If I try to install these manually I get errors and a failed install (installation was interrupted). I've spoken to my support agents and they've suggested a different version of SQL Compact, but I'm having the same problems. Has anyone else had problems installing this on Windows Server 2012?? (I know there have been problems with SOLUS3 itself, but surely I can't be the only person who hasn't even been able to install the thing?) Any help or advice would be a great help! Cheers Nick
  9. It's so annoying. Having already used this software in the past I assumed this would be a doodle to set up, safe to say I was wrong. I actually managed to run 4 demo tests, and on Friday I had three rooms totalling 28 machines all connected to their respective dashboards. Come in this morning to find red crosses on most, with no apparent pattern or reason. Going to try your suggestion now... Wish me luck!
  10. Ok. I can do this! It doesn't explain why machines on the same VLAN are still not talking though. This has been a stressful Monday, I'll see if I can get one worker so I can try dhoward's idea... This might actually be the worst software I've ever had the 'pleasure' of using. Their support team are abysmal too...
  11. I have this EXACT issue. What did you do to fix it? We've just had to postpone an exam 20 minutes before start time because I couldn't get the exam clients to talk to the dashboard consistently. We actually have run two of these tests last year without any hiccups, but that was on our old flat network. Not sure if the software likes VLANs or not....
  12. Yes vista. It's ok I've sorted it now. Nothing wrong with the drivers in the end, just me being a twonk and mistyping the command... Cheers
  13. Hi, I'm trying to image a Dell Optiplex 380 using WDS but am having troubles with injecting the drivers. Although I have injected the correct drivers using PEimg it is still not working. I have even gone as far as injecting every Broadcom driver available. Has anyone used WDS on a 380? If so, what driver did you use? I'm at my wits end with this one!
  14. Hi, I'm assuming that the new domain was set up in the recipient policy as: %1g%[email protected]? Once this is set up expand Recipient Update Services and right click on the relevant domain. Then click update now Apologies if you have already done this. You can set the new domain as primary to make sure the changes are populating through AD. Regards Nick
  15. Hi, Currently all students here have no system tray icons or clock, they are disabled through group policy. This is all good and has been for a couple of years. Problem is, a selected number of students have been allocated laptops to take home for the diploma. They need access to their home wireless/internet connections and I have no idea how to give them this without opening too much up or re-enabling the system tray. Any ideas? Cheers
