  1. Good morning all. I noticed that in the current version of the Solus Agent Notifier (3.12.50.2), if I click on Applications and Check for update, I don't get the option to reinstall SIMS or FMS any more. I get 'There are no suitable workstation updates compatible with the current database version 3.63.850.0 (agent target id 2355). Just wanted to see if this is happening to anyone else on this version or if it's just me. Cheers.
  2. Darn thing has spread to 3 people now. As a couple of them have laptops I have asked them to try the laptops and see if that is causing issues as well.
  3. Darn, so that's what's causing it. Thanks @mattysmith80, do you use any specific template for Edge or is it just the defaults?
  4. This article has a better method for disabling updates and pushing out an older version of Edge if anyone else is having an issue. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/edge-learnmore-rollback
  5. Yes, I do, my Documents is redirected to C:\Users\Username\One Drive - Name Of School Here\Documents and the folder loads fine and items get saved to it fine. Strange I can't see any error for that in the Event log but gives me other items to search for to see if the machines or group policies have some restriction oddities, cheers.
  6. Seems to be happening at one school but not the other. Anyone else finding they are having a problem? So far we have tried uninstalling Impero as that has caused some strange issues in the past with updated programs, but that doesn't appear to be the cause here.
  7. Well folder redirection appears to be working fine with no errors in the event log. Very strange...
  8. Sounds like your comments would be very ribbiting.
  9. As long as you haven't used the LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel), aka LTSB (Long-Term Service Branch), you should be able to update via Windows Updates or WSUS, or even opening the 20H2 ISO on the machine, running setup and upgrading if you so wish.
  10. I know people stereotypically ask for 'nice strong lads' to carry things, but this is ridiculous...
  11. Interesting, I will have a look when I get back there tomorrow, the machines do have folder redirection so could be a possibility as I recall one of them mentioning a long login time with folder redirection... many thanks.
  12. Ironically no, they are local profiles. The only thing that roams with them are the OneDrive folders.
  13. We appear to have a bug with the latest Microsoft Edge (89.0.774.48) and Windows Defender, so just posting this here in case anyone else does. Edge tries but fails to load, and the CPU increases usage for Specifically Antimalware Service Executable, on older machines taking up 100% CPU time. As I don't have any option to uninstall Edge from Add/Remove programs as the Uninstall button is greyed out. Only way I have found to fix it is download the installer for the latest MSI version of Edge (the problematic 89.0.774.48), install it, uninstall it, then download the previous version of Edge (89.0.774.45) and install it. After that I would recommend disabling the service 'Microsoft Edge Elevation Service' to prevent auto updates, but please note that if anyone goes to About Microsoft Edge it will still pull the latest version.
  14. Replaced both machines that had the issue with a new installation of Windows... guess what? Still an issue.
  15. After submitting the form again with the Work e-mail field visible I got this message, so I am hopeful.
  16. Looks like the page is now showing a box for Work E-mail.
  17. Well, it doesn't ask anyone for an e-mail address.
  18. No, normal mode, though it might be hard for you to send an e-mail to those who have signed up... as the form doesn't ask for an e-mail address. I know @Katy and @Garacesh have had some issues on their phone, but Garacesh noticed it does give a brief message on PC.
  19. Done... I hope... sending wasn't very obvious. Though as others have said the same, hoping it's got through. Thanks very much!
  20. And for some reason, on the machine that I deleted the profile on, the problem has returned.
  21. Group Policy Object, it's for Windows devices so wouldn't be applicable if your using Mac as the thread location chosen suggests.
  22. Interesting, I haven't made any changes on this front, but could be something got corrupted there. The only commonality I have seen on the two users I have seen recently is a redirection of the user folders.
  23. Today I logged into one of the machines as a different low level user and was able to rename folders. Deleting the profile of the affected user and logging back on again the problem was gone. So this seems to be a profile specific issue not needing the reinstallation of the whole machine. I would still like to find the underline cause though rather than having to delete profiles if possible.
  24. No, haven't got rid of it but certainly not putting it on display either. Any online site today that requires Internet Explorer is ridiculous, and should be avoided is possible. Systems with ActiveX controls should be moved away from as well if possible. IE has had a long run, but it's time for it to be retired now with most websites designed for modern browsers.
