Morning Wave 9 are a Cisco Meraki MSP and I can confirm there is no catch! Meraki will want to contact you directly and discuss what your plans are so you can expect that. The Free AP is for "IT professionals" so your role has to be IT related or you have to be the person responsible for IT in school. Its a genuinely good offer as you can test out the system and features of the dashboard which are superb. Beyond that, if you were looking to roll out across a school then most would benefit from a proper site survey as you can have too many as well as too few AP's to make a WLAN work optimally. It would also consider, number of concurrent devices and model throughput etc. If anyone needs any help with Meraki or would like to know more then please PM me. Well, one of our clever chaps has spent an hour or so investigating and has found nothing to explain the oddness around your semi-visible ports. The output indicates your stack is working and appears to be performing as expected. Apologies, we can only suggest you raise a case with HP.

Hi there Does sound odd. Are they both running the same firmware versions or is there a mis-match? Could you provide a bit more info (PM if you like) showing the state of the stack (Show Stack and Show Stack Member) and I will get one our chaps to have a look. I agree with this this. You need to start with the established enterprise brands but the key thing with wireless isn't so much the vendor but the way it is designed, configured and integrated with your existing network. Beyond that it's the features and tools that will allow you to manage and troubleshoot and keep it up to date and running well. It's a 5 to 7 year investment so the day 1 project of getting it in and working is only the start. We like Meraki as an overall package as it has some great built in tools and includes and enterprise MDM solution for up to 100 devices too.
