  1. Fabulous thanks for the speedy response 😊👍
  2. Apologies if this seems like a ridiculous question but one of our staff tipped a glass of water over her Mac book Pro. Despite my best efforts to dry it out it still refuses to even power up. I have tried a new power cable as well as every known drying method. I suspect that the logic board is damaged. In the short term can I put the 2.5 data hdd into a toshiba win 8 laptop to retrieve the data? don't want to do this if it is very complicated. Also if I buy a data hdd enclosure for it will it need to be used with a mac via us? Many thanks Mel
  3. Hi Andy thank you for the response. We are looking at something around the 65" that will be a comparable LED replacement with an HDMI input and soundbar (as I have heard that the speakers aren't very powerful). We are still running SMART boards installed by Matrix around 12 years ago and the surfaces are unpredictable and despite daily orientation they cannot be relied upon to write anywhere near the pen! Our Head looked at the GTouch yesterday with a hydraulic stand to convert it to a table and he was really impressed, although it does not run SMART software so jury is still out on that one. Many thanks
  4. We are looking to replace our ageing SMART boards with LED boards (13) and looking for any recommendations please. Our teachers have built up a wealth of resources using smart software and would be reluctant to go with a new supplier. I am also hearing differing options relating to the licensing fees coming into place with SMART and the new boards that run SMART 14/15. Has anyone had new boards installed recently and what can people recommend please. Many thanks
  5. Many thanks for the response, but it doesn't get as far in as letting me see the Pi booting up. It refuses to switch between VGA and DVI it simply reverts to VGA and the RM logon screen. Have tried switching everything around but the issue appears to be intermittent. i can login using a Pi on one machine, shut it down and it won't work on another PC. Similarly a PC can work for 1 Pi and not the next one I connect to the same PC. Hope that makes sense! Mel
  6. can anyone please help? I am trying to set up some Raspberry pi on an RM CC4 network using dvi/hdmi adapters as space is limited. The dvi/vga switch on the side of the monitor is not allowing me to switch between the 2 on some of the machines. On some of them it will work then it won't, reverting to the VGA display after a few seconds. I have tried changing the HDMI cables and switching adapters and trying a different Pi. Can anyone please advise? I have a year 6 code club after school who are looking forward to using the Pi and will be disappointed. Any advice gratefully received Mel
