  1. Try Lexmark, comes with papercut embedded as standard and reduces down the cost of having MFDs with A3 when not required throughout the school. Works well with swipe cards or biometric release stations. PM me for more details
  2. Your staff are bang on, the only requirement for A3 in the education sector is usually art and reprographics ! The cost of an A3 devise is between 30-40% higher than A4 only, the main advantage is that you not only can deploy high speed A4 devises with additional paper supply fitted if required, it saves space whilst increasing productivity. A3 manufacturers will tell you that there’s not much difference, but having compared the framework agreement pricing to what you would expect to pay for a high speed Lexmark A4 devise tells its own story. This strategy has been deployed in a number of new academies across the central belt with savings of between 15/20% against the framework pricing.
  3. The Lexmark XS748 comes with a full three year parts manufacturer’s warranty including 12mths labour, so why sign up to a service cost per copy. Consumables can be purchased when required and the devise also comes loaded with 10k colour &12K black toner. Schools should be signing up to an operating lease over three years which means you pay less than the capital value of the equipment. PM me for more information if required and school referral sites using Lexmark
  4. Having worked for Ricoh National Accounts dealing directly with the education sector I would also agree that the products work well. However a lot of IT Managers have realized that 90% of the print within the education market place is A4, so why pay for an A3 devise when you don’t require it ? Over the last two years I have been deploying Lexmark products which not only have reduced down the overall spend by 27%, the service calls have dropped by over 60%. This along with the software on board like embedded paper cut, Google print, scan to SharePoint too name just a couple, should be something all IT Managers should take the time to consider. Lexmark is tried and tested with over 90% of the financial sector using Lexmark. Pm me for education referral sites.
