Yeah as mentioned above, I found the config key. I need to know where the DEFAULT string is stored or generated This is a device level config and not global. I want to be able to change this in one location and not all 359 devices.

I need to change the "Card unknown to the system" message or Self-Association prompt text. I found the config key "ext-device-msg.card-association" which has the value "DEFAULT" What I need is to find where that "DEFAULT" message is defined. I have 300+ devices and would perfer to change this in one central location. PC Tech support skirted around the question. I figure it is stored in a .js somewhere. Anyone have any idea? Thanks

Can some one please copy and paste the entire contents of [AppPath]\server\tmp\web-app31930\css\user2.css I was adjusting some positioning issues with the navbar and overwrote the original style sheet when saving, instead of saving to the custom folder..... Typical me move....

checl [app-path]/providers/hardware/Ricoh and see if they have made any changes. If the file version is still the same I would say you are good.

Typically No, I have been using PC since v12.1 and the embeded software have never been upgraded. Thank god the higher majority of my fleet is Sharp... their solution runs from the server via http connection. The Lexmarks on the other hand do use embeded versions of the PC software. If I had to mass update that solution I would simply use MarkVision to push out the update.. Thats what I use to batch update firmware... SHARP and Lexmark engineers know me by first name by now.. I seem to find all the bugs on MFPs running PC...

We also purchased PaperCut via the company we lease our MFPs through. However due to the amount of devices and users we have the internal db would not have sufficed. I made sure I was involved with the original install and configuration so I could handle the even more involved maintanence and troubleshooting without the need of contacting the PC or our reseller.

This is a PaperCut report from the last 30 days, as reported through the Print server. Which means it's not even taking into account system related jobs that have independent print processing. Just one of 3 MFPs this department has....

I know this is almost a year late. But I found that removing all 3rd party monitors from the registry resolved 95% of all spooler crash/stopping events on all 5 of my print servers (2008r2) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control > Print >Monitors Export a copy of the print key. Remove ALL non native port and language monitors (Excluding PaperCut monitors if actively using PC port monitors) Net stop and start the spooler. I wish I would have done this a long time ago.. would have saved me a lot of grief... Waking up at 3a.m to server alerts and helpdesk tickets...

Another good idea would be to request a network forward for reports into a share. Then you could use a batch to pull the PDF and place it on a intranet page. Or better yet a SQL/PHP script that pulls the report straight from the DB..

Oh and the reason for such high stats on ours... Were not a school. I work for a mid-sized healthcare corp. This is just the only forum I have found with regular PC discussion..
