About Avited_Lisa

  1. Hi I would recommend getting as many on site demonstrations as you can. CleverTouch are currently number one in the interactive flat panel market, but CTouch are rapidly catching up, followed by SMART. SMARTs 6065 is a good product, especially with the object recognition which makes the transition for teachers much easier, however the lack of remote control and therefore freeze/still function can impact a number of teachers. I've done a lot of work recently comparing the options so don't forget the BenQ option which is also popular. CTouch, CleverTouch and BenQ will all do onsite demos if you are keen so its worth trying everything and seeing what your teachers think Lisa
  2. Hi iBoard is a great product, but beware very very long lead times on certain sized boards. Shipments get delayed etc. We've worked with them a great deal, so if you have any more questions do ask Lisa
  3. Hi There is a lot to be said for the interactive flat panels, life span of usually around 45,000 hours, seriously reduced energy consumption and orientation issues go away completely. I've never used a CleverTouch but I think its the software that you need to focus on as well as ensuring teachers "buy in" to the new technology. I went to a school the other day to put in the USB A to B cables to touch enable their Promethean screens and some teachers were unaware they were touch screens and were really chuffed. From what I've seen all the hardware is much of a muchness (bar the new SMART 6065 which only has the HDMI input, no remote control and object awareness) so focusing on the software is key. CleverTouch are currently market leaders but CTouch are fast catching up so also worth a look. Most companies will do onsite demos, worth trying as many as possible to ensure you get the right product for your school Lisa
  4. Hi again Fiza Just had a chat in the office, I know teachers are not often a fan of it and I'm sure you have considered it, but you could run the projector as a second screen for the time being until a resolve is found Thanks Lisa
  5. Hi Fiza Its not a complaint we've had come back is the best way to word it, its not to say that our customers haven't encountered this or possibly they do not use the freeze button as much. We have had no customer call us to say it HAS been an issue, so either is hasn't happened, they haven't noticed it but it has happened or they are not using the "freeze" button (the later seems unlikely). Therefore I cannot say whether it is your projectors or just a standard. I am very interested to hear the outcome however. Thanks Lisa
  6. Hi Fiza I will be interested to hear the response, we've supplied and installed a fair few and not heard anything like this. Thanks Lisa
  7. Hi Fiza Have you tried speaking with Steljes Technical Support team? They should be able to advise whether this is a setting or standard Thanks Lisa
  8. Hi Signage Live has proved popular with a few schools in our area as it doesn't require anything on the server and can be updated remotely from anywhere in the World as it is cloud based. It has fantastic functionality as well so really worth a look Thanks Lisa
  9. Hi Quantar I would suggest you contact Steljes Technical Support team as they may be able to advise you on an easy fix or at least suggest a route cause. It is possible it is shutting down as it is overheating so trying to protect itself, but it is possible that a repair would require it to be sent off. Hope that helps Lisa
  10. Hello, Have you considered a Dension player and then running SignageLive? Or were you hoping to avoid any hardware purchase?
  11. Hi The SMART 6065 has completely done away with the remote control (for reasons very much unknown to anyone), taking away any freeze option. Many of the manufacturers have the option "Still" on the remote, which is what they have called "Freeze". It depends what brand you have opted for however Lisa
  12. Our engineers generally use MDF to batten off the wall in cases like this, just as Steve said.
  13. RA Technology would be a good place to start
  14. If the firmware and software upgrades don't work, a trick is to get a store card you don't use anymore and run that around the edges of the interactive area of the board as sometimes they stick. Sadly if both that and the upgrade do not work it is likely the board is damaged. We found last year that a lot of the 500 series boards (black edges) had the membrane in the middle shrink due to the warm summer
