  1. HI @PaperCutterBrenda - Has this been fixed?
  2. Thanks, sent you a message.
  3. Is this still available?
  4. We have had Sophos XG for a couple of years, and broadly speaking we're happy with the solution. However, reporting is woeful. Yes, as mentioned, you can produce reports with the desired information, but try and export that into a simple report is impossible. Generally, it results in a 7-page report when it could easily be 1-page, and this is just for reporting one category. Contrast this with the simple safeguarding report I used to receive when we had Lightspeed filtering, to get the same info from the XG i need to run 10 separate reports (I hope someone corrects me on this!). We recently had an issue where our bandwidth was being maxed out for prolonged periods, neither myself, Sophos support (don't get me started on them!) or our sophos support partner could elicit the information from the logs which would pinpoint the issue. We have recently started trialling Fastvue, and it certainly adds a new dimension to reporting. For instance, google will show on reports as that rather than gstatic.com or gvt1.com, thus making it much easier for the reader to interpret. I can also easily see bandwidth hoggers and a few other metrics. It's not cheap however. 3-year deal is 1k per annum all up front. 1-year deal is double that.
  5. Stay away from Schools Broadband, awful company. Over 4 years, regular technical issues (service down, poor performance). On contract renewal, I dared query the cost and why we had to pay a year in advance when others in the industry state they are charged monthly after the initial term. The reply was hostile, evasive and duplicitous. We were threatening with disconnection if we didn't pay in full immediately. We've now left the company for the most part (I still have other schools with them) and they're insisting we pay to ship their equipment back otherwise we'll be charged (I'd be interested to know what they charge for 5-year old equipment!). Never had any service credits back, despite being owed and were confirmed by email. I've never used RM, but had quotes which were very competitive (for leased line, not so good for FTTC). I don't feel they would ever act as petty as SBB. Save yourself future grief and stay away from SBB.
  6. I know this is an old post but I hope someone can help. I have to install the Administrator.msi software to 200+ computers. It was mentioned Administrator.msi can be edited to set the DATAPATH. Would someone be able to tell me which table/property needs to be changed. I tried editing directory/DATAPATH and this corrupts the MSI. I've also tried creating a transform file but I have had no luck with this either. Many thanks Andy
