Hi, I have a windows image on different stone Laptops and Machine models and for some reason over the last few weeks when on the internet it blue screens and restarts the machine. I have updated the chipset driver which a stone engineer advised me to do also flashed a bios but still doing it. Any ideas? Cheers Liam

at the minute yes I work on a win 8 desktop and that has been fine.

I have had a look in the event log and all its says is "Kernel-Power" critical but I have found a post that said change the power option to turn off when closed (something to do with fast boot up) and still having the same problem.

Over the last two days this problem has been happening on our Windows 8 Machines Does anyone know why this is happening? The only thing I can think of is its An Update that has caused this as they have been fine up till now and no hardware or software has been installed over the network and also happening on different models of machine. Hi, Students have been doing an App inventor controlled assessment. It works fine as an administrator but when logged on as a student it works fine apart from the picture they have uploaded doesn't show, they need this to complete the task. I believe it is stored in the C: drive which is blocked by group policy. Is there away in GP to allow access to the C: drive but hide it so students can't mess with it. If so how do I go about doing this? Cheers Liam
