Urgent Help - Booking Sheet error - static bookings!?
Manny21555 posted a topic in Home Access Plus+
Hi All, Its that time of year where we are updating the booking system (timetable). I've ran into a serious error (students are back next week & we cannot see our timetable). I've manually entered the new dates/lesson on the booking system via booking system home>static bookings. We are receiving an error when going to the dates (we also cannot see any timetable at all, please see attached picture) I did not import them from SIMS just deleted the old bookings via the static ones and then added new ones in. I need help with this as I'm no expert! Cheers, Manny -
HAP+ Error 503: Service Unavailable
Manny21555 replied to WhizInTraining's topic in Home Access Plus+
Hi Lads, Found a fix, on the server where HAP is installed restart the service ADFS, then for us we have a gateway server which HAP is also configured on, then i restarted ADFS service also. Once I did that i also restarted/started "web application proxy service". Once that is complete HAP now works ! Hope that helps someone in the future Cheers, Manny -
HAP+ Error 503: Service Unavailable

Hi Both, I have found the fix, note sure on how anyone else has things setup but here we have a gateway server which needs the service "web application proxy service" to be up and running. The gateway server did not have this running. We have an application server (which is where HAP is installed) and needed ADFS service restarting first then jump back onto the gateway server and restart ADFS service also then start the web application proxy service. After completing all of the above it was working fine I hope this helps someone in the future but its a heads up for you both Cheers, Nath -

Hi Whiz, Yeah the local system account has access to the path. I also gave "Everyone" access to the path as a test but that ended up the same result. And yeh logging on with an administrator account (to the PC it is installed onto yes) Any more suggestions? Very strange that one day it works and the next nothing Cheers, Manny -

Booking System - System Charge/Unavailable
Manny21555 replied to Manny21555's topic in Home Access Plus+
Hi Guys, Just to say i have changed the enable charging as "False" but it still saying charging on the same day/next day etc. Is it worth me copying the pt2 line for example pasting that into PT1 line? (obviously change the names) Cheers, Manny -

Manny21555 replied to Manny21555's topic in Home Access Plus+
Hi Paul, So i don't need to change anything else on that line? I think that will solve the issue hopefully it does anyway! I will try it later - if this doesn't work i will post back Cheers, Manny -

Hi Nick/Minimoo, First of all thanks for the replies - i have looked on the hapconfig.xml file and i have found these lines: -- We also have ICT Rooms and another line saying library but we can ignore them as we are only having issues with the PT1 one, so my question is this. 1) I will make a backup of this file first of all so if i make any changes i can easily put this back in place. 2) could i just copy one of pt-2 or pt-3 line and paste that to where number pt1 is ? (change the names of course) this should fix the issue we are having ? (i'm no programmer as you guys can see!) Regards to what minimoo - I think the fix from nick would be enough to fix the charging problem ? as it takes the next available time away (see above - pt-1 line) What you guys think? I don't want to make a change straight away and loose the booking system as again its live and this week students have some exams (they are using the laptops) I dont want my head on a stick that's for sure! Cheers, Manny -

Hi Minimoo, Thanks for the reply & message much appreciated Sorry for the late reply i've had a busy week! Answering your questions : 1) the structure is P1 Break p2,p3 lunch, p4, p5 (no bookings after school) 2) we want staff to book any time but not break or lunch 3) we have no double lessons (all classed as separate) as i stated in the previous messages we sometimes see lessons are unavailable and set as charging but how would we remove that? It only happens on one though (we have 3 sets of laptop trolleys) . Also this is a live environment so i dont want to make a change when it might not work! Any suggestions? Cheers, Manny -

Hi Nick, Did you manage to look at what i posted back to you? Or could anyone else gives us a hand? Cheers, Manny -
Hi Shimmer, I used bluescreenview and found the ntfs.sys file & ntoskrnl.exe was highlighted in red I stated this above, i still think a physical drive has gone on the server, we are using a RAID 50 at the moment but as its live and all is working i wont touch it until the Easter holiday when i have chance to turn off the VM's and dig some more Thanks Manny
-
Hi All, Thanks for getting back to me with all the suggestions Its almost half term break so i will turn off all VM's and do a chkdsk in the Easter holiday.. I looked on the VM performance & most other settings but everything is coming back healthy, obviously i need to do some more digging but for now the server is on and the school is running okay so i wont touch it until we break up! The drives are SSD Fujitsu drives, if one has gone then i believe we are covered by Dell so they should ship one out Will keep you guys posted if anything else happens or If i need any help! Thanks all! Manny

Hi PartickC, I've looked around but still nothing in event viewer.. I've looked under Evernt Viewer>windows logs>application and nothing (thats what i copied/pasted above).. I've managed to get the .dmp file and look at this via bluescreen view. The bug check code is 0x0000012e and the filenames having this issues are ntfs.sys and ntoskrnl.exe - as its a VM it could be a physical that has failed but all is green. (we use SSD's in the physical server - i'm thinking one of the drives have failed but I've checked them and its healthy!) Again not much help from Microsoft here I think its a physical issue with a SSD on the server but i need to turn all off VM's to find out which one has failed (NTFS). This is what i'm guessing anyway! Any other idea's? Cheers, Manny

Hi All, I had a problem with one of our servers yesterday - the unwanted BSOD! I managed to reboot the server (Virtual sever) which then loaded up fine but with the following information: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.274.10 Locale ID: 2057 Additional information about the problem: BCCode: 12e BCP1: FFFFFA8004556000 BCP2: FFFFFA8004C38010 BCP3: 00000000033AC0A9 BCP4: 0000000000010000 OS Version: 6_1_7601 Service Pack: 1_0 Product: 274_3 I must state other VM's on located on the same physical server are running okay. I have access on the server now which is a good start - Luckily we have a fail over with this server and the fail over has worked fine. But as you can imagine i want to get this up and running just in case! Any idea's? Any help would be appreciated Cheers, Manny

Booking System - System Charge/Unavailable
Manny21555 replied to Manny21555's topic in Home Access Plus+
Hi Nick, Thanks for getting back to me, here is what we have in the bookingrules.xml file: - - bookcharging(booking.NextLesson(),Resource.ChargingPeriods) - bookcharging(booking.NextLesson(),Resource.ChargingPeriods) bookunavailable(booking.PreviousLesson(),-1)) ---- So where could i add this condition you was talking about ? i can see action bookingcharging & the booking unavailable under that, thats what we are having trouble with. Could we remove it completely so it doesn't have charging at all? if so what would the text be within this file.. I want to be 100% sure i do the correct thing here as this system is already live and in use all day! Cheers, Manny -
Hi All, Just a quick one regarding the booking system - When staff try to book a room we have UNAVAILABLE (systemadmin) during lesson time but before it will be a break time/lunch time. How can I remove the systemadmin for lessons? The charging at break times is fine.. Could you point us to the file/folders i need to edit? I have also attached a picture to show you. (CHARGING is at break time and the UNAVAILABLE system admin is lesson 2) Thanks in advance Manny

Yeah i know that is there another way of keeping .man profiles & saving the IE passwords? changing them all to roaming will take some time & testing
-
Without sorry*
-
I thought that was the issue - surely there is a way of saving it for staff ? which switching them to roaming..
