    How much are you looking roughly for per unit ?

    If your going down the Pi route which could be within your budget i'd strongly recommend looking through this thread: Raspberry Pi • View topic - Xibo player (work) on raspberrypi It has links to Xibo images that can be put straight on to the Pi's SD Card.

    It is possible to get Xibo working with Pi's we've never tested the reliability of it though.
