  1. ; It's gone down in price, that place used to be £32 a few years ago, it's dropped because the likes of KissGyms and PureGyms have opened (24 hour monitored gyms) and they are about £16 a month. they are only gyms though, no pools etc... this other gym also includes free badminton bookings.... i enjoy badminton, but again, shins.
  2. cheeky... MK one is nice (but it's the only one i've done...), basically just around willen lake, there is a killer bit about 2km in though....
  3. I'm currently using my old man's old bike... which is a bit too big for me , hes 6 foot 1 im 5 foot 8.... currently no money to purchase my own bike.... might use the 6 weeks off work in the summer to my advantage, thinking of joining a local gym club for £20 a month that includes use of the swimming pool...

  16. Tried running on my toes, i struggle as it puts more pressure on my shins that way, and it makes it worse, not better.
  17. I did go to a running shop, they monitored my running style etc and recommended (and i bought) a pair that has a lot of support due to my shin splints.
  18. Hey all. Looking at getting back into running, but have had a history of shin splints, i have bought and worn the shin splint velcro supports over the past couple of years on and off, and i am just wondering if anyone knows any runners from their clubs or anything who use compression socks at all for shinsplints? i am looking at investing in a pair (such as these but don't wish to waste my money if they aren't that good. I don't mind the shin splint supports i currently have, but the velcro wears out after a while, and they do look a bit odd when running! (especially as a trialled a different set and now have different supports on each leg...) Also any tips from any runners about treating shin splints? Thanks in advance.
