  1. Hi ya The relevant support network you need to tap into is the CESI mailing list. https://www.cesi.ie/cesi-mailing-list/ CESI is the Computers in Edcuation Society of Ireland which is basically a subject association but it contains all the geeky teacher and tech support guys as well. I expect you will be a valuable addition to the list.
  2. Hi all Teachers are using Activboard Titanium (purchased last year- don’t have a model number to hand) We have installed MS Teams and OneDrive app on the board Teacher is trying to add a word document from her OneDrive to a new conversation in Teams. When she clicks on the document, it returns to Teams but the document is not added to the conversation. We are able to add a pic from the board hard drive but not from an online location. Any suggestions John
  3. Well I am Irish and got to know the site through Grumbledook. I am working as an educational technologist in a school district in central Virginia and happy to keep this thread going in 2016.
  4. hi there A quick & simple question One of our users is o365 online and adds a file to a folder (called folder B) by dragging from her desktop. She then realises that she has put into the wrong folder as wishes to drag and drop it to the same folder as folder B (ie in folder A which will contain folder B and the file) How can you drag and drop a file into anothe folder without using Skydrive Pro? Thanks John
  5. Hi all I have two teachers who use both Mac and PCs are having problems uploading filenames using the Skydrive Pro tool. They are using the Skydrive Pro sync tool (part of Office 13 Pro Plus) to upload documents on to a user Skydrive, the upload process adds the following two characters " ._ " to the front of the file name and as a result, fails to upload. We have identified that the ._ is added by the Mac OS filesystem and the files are accessed on both PC and Mac machines. Has anyone any suggests as a work around? I have tried the MS support forums but they have not suggested a solution that will work with the teachers workflow. This must have emerged in mixed OS schools before. Thanks in advance. John
  6. what is the most efficient way to create homework folders in O365- basically the permissions will be the class teacher and the student. Homework is a page available on the side bar for the students. This contains a document library called Homework. What I have done so far is use the sync tool to create the folders with the students name within that document library (I have edited the permissions to teacher and student). How can I duplicate the other pages using the folders created above I have saved the page as a template but I cannot find the option to bring this in the other pages. Any help appreciated. John
  7. @sukh - I mean about Sharepoint Really the answer I really need to get is on tracking student time on a particular subsite- I have now found out that teacher involved is currently doing some research for a Masters & O365 will be part of it if I can source an answer for it Thanks again for the replies so far John
  8. Hi all Two quick questions- I am working in a school where we are rolling out O365 and two queries have emerged that I need some help with. At present we are not able to drag and drop folders which is going to be a bit of a pain as I have two teachers with large amounts of data in multiple folders. Is it a setting that we can change to get over it. Question 2 is in relation to tracking students time on a subsite. A teacher wants to track the length of time that a student spends on the site. Is there an app that will solve that problem? Thanks folks John
