have you tried using single disk multiple partition option for the image? i had to set one of my setups to that as it would refuse to image on single disk single partition

What do you do with your dead bulbs? we currently have a large box filled with them, we are reluctant to dispose of them into normal landfill because of the enviromental issues cheers Kev

hi folks, after wrestling with fog for annother week or so it is now up and running and now on a 1TB drive as opposed to the origional 40gb ( i was unable to image/clone it to the TB drive so had to reinstall from scratch...) we have successfully used fog to gather and distribute images so its all good, however i do have one issue. When trying to gather an image from a certain machine type (scl online machines with MSI MS-7507 motherboad) it will boot from pxe fine, but when it comes to loading the actual blue imaging screen, which shows your progress etc, it flashes up for a split second and then is gone again. any ideas at all as to what could cause this and possible fixes? cheers Kev

Hi Folks We are after a charging trolley specifically for the Asus eepc sized laptops, we have 30 which we will be providing to to 3 local primaries on a rotation system, the charging trolley must be portable and not to bulky (needs to fit in a car) 1x30 or 2x15 which ever is best, if theres such a thing. in a nut shell... ability to transport, store and charge 30 asus eeepc's. thanks Kev

erm its broke... the cpu and grpahics card are faulty hence my refund
-
yeah thats how im seeing it, a free upgrade with the option of popping in a few quid to get somethin just that little bit better so the 4850 is definatley the one to go for?
-
the refund really is all i have to spend, missus lost her job a few months back and cash isnt going spare, i could put £10-£20 to it which would get me the 4850 i think..
-
£50 more expensive on my limited budget mate, the 4850 really is maxing me out

First off i wasnt sure what forum to post this in so opted for here Ok heres the situation, back in october i built a new machine, now a few weeks back it packed up, shipped the pats back to ebuyer for test as its still in warrenty and it was found that both my cpu and Graphics card were faulty, was informed that my other parts would be returned to me and that the faulty good would be replaced, i indeed had my parts returned but after 2 weeks of waiting no replacement parts... gave them a ring and it turne dout there was a system error (dont you hate those.....) but it also turns out that theres no direct replacement for what i had so i would be refunded.. so now here i am with an oppotunity to upgrade once again but am in a bit of a quandry as to whats best to get and was just after some other opinions. i am replacing: AMD Phenom X4 9750 2.4GHz Socket AM2+ and Gecube HD 3850 512MB GDDR3 Dual DVI HDTV Out PCI-E Im almost certainly going to be replacing the 9750 with a 9950 but when it comes to the graphics card im yet to fully decide... Theres three cards im looking at currently Asus HD 3850 HIS HD 4670 Asus HD 4850 Is it a no brainer and to push my budget to get the 4850? Now im not totally sure on the amount of refund im getting as its not gone in the bank yet but im pretty sure itll be in the reigon of what im looking at. i play games like Empire Total War and Armed Assult and some rpg's what do you think?

ok couple more questions... I would like to add a second storage node, can i simply point fog to my 2nd machine and tell it to dump its images on the E:\ drive for example? this machine is running xp, do i have to install anything to do so?
-
Yesterday i decided to rip it up and start again, complete rinstall of fedora and fog, and at the end of the day it was working! yay! finally i do have a question though.... when creating an image in the gui what is the best option to choose (single partition resizeable ect) i chose the single partition and it was going to take 2hrs to take the image???? my understanding was this fog was fast? so im guess one of the other options is best to choose?

Hi Folks been asked by a primary school i support to gather a few quotes for new 18 desktops inc monitors, ive been asked to look into Dells so if somone could provide me with some prices for machines suitable for primary schools that would be fab, nothing fancy but flexible if we want a larger hard drive for example. Alternative quotes would be apprecaited also. cheers Kev
