This timeline may help too https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/get-the-facts-gcse-and-a-level-reform/get-the-facts-gcse-reform

Hi The results will still count for your students, but not for your school. As the exam was the unreformed qual (A*-G), it was been superseded by the 9-1 qual which was introduced this year. This guidance confirms it... https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/676184/Secondary_accountability_measures_January_2018.pdf - bottom of page 14 It's also an issue for those schools that tend to put students in for home languages early - French, Spanish and German 9-1 this year, other languages next year however there are still a few that will not be reformed until the following year. Have you thought about joining the School Data Management group on Facebook - lots of useful info on there? Hope this helps :-)

Hi, have you seen the SSAT Data Managers Award? Well worth doing https://www.ssatuk.co.uk/cpd/accountability-and-data/national-data-managers-award/ -

Waiting for SISRA too. No point in attempting to do anything until the DfE stop their faffing. SISRA are extremely quick to implement change fortunately :-) -
Forget to mention... not sure if you are aware of it but the Facebook Data Managers forum (related to SISRA but you don't have to be a user) is well worth joining, plus SSAT DM forum too (if you are a SSAT member).

Not me and I know exactly what you mean WayTooTricky!

I found mine at the Provider Gateway too. You will need a username and log in. If you don’t have these the service desk number is 0370 2670001. If they ask for a UPIN and you don't have one, don't worry - they will sort that out for you too.

When does FFT update for the new year?
Emm replied to studio's topic in Data Managers's Data Managers Topics
Hi Gary My import seemed to be okay but then just vanished. Tried again and it vanished again. Both times it said I would have to wait for validation - is the waiting time a bit like the launch of Aspire perhaps? I only tried one year group of approx 65 pupils as an initial test so I didn't put too much pressure on it- how wrong was I?! I have reported the problem but have heard nothing back. I know of another school which had the same problem too. How long did your import take? Cheers Emma -
Sorry Shakester 007 - forgot to mention our KS4 Target Setting. We are moving away from FFT as we need to ensure as a Grammar School that our students make 4lop from KS2 to the end of KS4. We expect 2lop during KS3 (Y7-9 here) and a further 2lop during Y10-11. Basically if the student entered on a level 4 we would expect him/her to leave on a B, level 5 - A and level 6 - A* across all subjects. Students aspirational targets are one grade higher (5lop). Hope this helps. Would be interested to hear what everything else does.

Try this tool by Ben Fuller at Herts for Learning Ltd. It enables you to calculate sub-levels and fine grades from the results. All instructions and info should be on the first tab... Anything you are not sure about, let me know and I'll do my best to explain. I have found the SSAT Data Managers forum invaluable for working KS2 levels out this year. You can download it here: Ow.ly - ks2_2014_marks_fine_levels.xls uploaded by @hertsassessment

Thanks Ali - have PM'd you :-) I cannot join the group via that link (I don't have permission to send to that list as I'm not a member). Is anyone able to let me know how I might be able to join please? Thanks, Emma

Hi I have just joined that group. Needed to make a general post first to be able to do so, hence my message on here this morning :-) I already receive SSAT DM emails and signed up to Twitter this morning. I am really enjoying the job but am worrying about what's ahead and where to start. Spent the last year feeling like I'm getting by by the skin of my teeth and feel like that won't change much for the next couple of years. It's quite a lonely job as there's no one here I can ask for help and advice so thank goodness for Edugeek and SSAT etc.

Hi. I am relatively new to the role of Data Manager and use SIMS and SISRA. Are there any sites anyone can recommend - I already use DataEducator and David Potts - to help me with my role? I would like to try to get local DMs together but am a bit geographically challenged being in South Lincolnshire - if there is anyone relatively local on here who would like to meet say once a term for idea sharing etc please pm me.
