  1. Afternoon all, Looking for an IT Tech's job in Kent, closer to Ramsgate/Margate way the better. As I'll have to apply anyway I won't sell myself to much on here. 18 GCES's - 8 in ICT 2 A Levels - 1 in ICT 2 Years experience on a helpdesk at a school. Built a whole apple system for the school including mass configuration of iPads and iPods. Please let me know of any jobs going. Thanks in advance, Adam
  2. OP wanted 1:1 with students so they would have their own Apple ID's, but yes for a class set, a trolley set up to apple config works best!
  3. When the app is pushed out it is up to the user to enter their own apple ID and password. Set the iPads up on your WiFi then give them to the users, then, send out the apps. Alternatively, give www.iconfigure.co.uk a buzz and they set it all up for you!
  4. Correct, its also worth noting you can't log in to the iTunes store with the account you use for VPP, you need two seperate logins
  5. If students log in with AD the mac should automatically map their home drives. You do however have to make the drive visible to students
  6. Can anyone shed some light as to whether I'm even looking in the right place? http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg217/Jewellsy/ScreenShot2013-06-14at112039_zpsb8a6ebb9.png
  7. Can't find any download links for the plist anywhere either. Or any script I can copy and save as a plist?
  8. Can't find anything to change mouse settings in WGM. I can allow the user to change the mouse settings, but I don't really want that. The less settings the students can change the better. Still Plist hunting to no avail
  9. Defo not there, Google says look in System/library/loginplugins/contents not there either. Tried whilst logged in as Admin, staff and student!
  10. Can't find one on any of the Macs.
  11. Hello I currently have 20 Macs set up using a mac mini as a server and profile manager to manage the Macs. Is there a way to set the right click to secondary click as default for all users on a Mac? I have looked at all the settings in the profile manager and scoured the internet for clues but can't find anything. If anyone could shed some light on this it would be very much appreciated. Cheers, Adam
  12. Hi Chris From my experience with Apple Configurator apps don't go across in a back up nor do any profiles, bit of a pain but you still have tick all the boxes for the apps and profiles you want installing. Hope this helps
