Hello all and thank you in advance for your help! We still have numerous carts of laptops in our elementary school. These carts contain 30 Windows 10 computers, which are often all off for days, and then suddenly all turned on at once. When a large update comes down the path, our SCCM will push that update to the majority of machines at once. As 30 laptops pull a large update from one access point, and then often restart, the class can lose a large amount of time waiting. And of course it often happens when time is critical (think mandatory state wide testing). To prevent the issue, I have turned updates off for these mobile carts. I can bring them in one at a time every other month, but we have 20 carts like this. It could quickly become a full time job. Does anyone have a better way to handle the updates without endangering large amounts of class time? Thanks again!

I have first graders creating online books. They draw their own pics, take pictures, and grab a few from the Internet. But as teachers look into 'publishing' these books or making them available on a classroom website, I worry about copyright laws. Ideally there would be a service as easy to use and as deep in content as google image searches.. but with free, copyfree images. Any ideas? Are most of you concerned that on a 1st grade website there may be a link to little Johnny's book, which on page 3 has a picture from another website? Thanks, Kevin

Yea, that typically works and most likely I am just being thick... but I have run the exe on 2 different computers, looked in the temp directory and still haven't found anything that resembles Smart's Notebook software. I see old installs of Flash and Adobe Reader, but no Smart. Any ideas?

We are out for summer, the perfect time to push out updates. I went to Smart's website to download the latest version of Notebook, but all I can get is an exe. I need a msi to deploy through my AD. I have read that I can copy it from the CD, but Smart tells me I will be waiting up to 4 weeks for the CD. I tried to unpack the exe, but so far I have had no luck. Smart's install manager also cannot open the exe. So, does anyone know of a faster way for me to get the latest version of Notebook (and drivers) as an MSI or how to convert it? Thanks!
