if you edit the student policy you can do this Aministrative Template - System - Ctrl+alt+del options, here you can remove task manager, lock computer, change password and logoff options

VLE. It seems the expectation is for the network manager and techs to set up and fully implement and train teachers/students in using the VLE. Sorry! dont get me wrong i think it works to a certain extent, but in my opinion it should be teacher/student driven as they will be the ones who use it on a day to day basis. in retrospect to my rant is there anyone that knows of any case studies where the above has happened so i can forward it on to SLT.

all, was at the 2nd network managers confernece today for Somerset Network Managers, unfiltered access will not be coming back, ELiM have stated today that staff proxy will now need to be used, got gven the whole spiel about pornography access by staff etc etc.

Bit of a wierd one here, the head has auto-archiving set-up so any email recieved before 01/09/2008 is sent to her auto-archive folder, when the archive runs she is still finding a lot of emails in her inbox folders from july/august. can anyone suggest any ideas as to why this might be happening. Guys, Am in a slight pickle here at our school, our servers our getting near the end of their workable life and am looking at being able to reduce and replace the current configuration we have. The supplier i used to use is also no longer around. Does anyone have any recommonendations for suppliers who also help with the installation and setup, my school is based in the south west. Have had this software running on the network for 2 years and have had no trouble with it what-so-ever, software updates are done automatically for you, and with each new version, a new feature is added which just enhances the functionality of the program. Join the forum as well, if you have any problems they are more than happy to help you. Program is very easy to use, and is policy based, and can be locked down by yourself to stop teachers from messing settings. The kids hate it because you can block sites, stop programs etc. Might sound like i am giving it a sales pitch but i think it is a brilliant program
