No on the 300 series I believe you have a single address that is used to manage the device. You will not be able to forward packets using the admin or management interface address

This is quite a big subject and to be fair still in it's infancy. SDN can do alot of things but like everything it's a question of do you "really" need the functionality. Your bonjour issue can be handled by existing network technologies, whether they exist in the HP OS is another matter.

Main differences are : Radius will encrypt the password in the access-request packet, from the client to the server. The remainder of the packet is unencrypted. Other information, such as username, authorized services, and accounting, can be captured by a third party. Depending on what mechanism you use for AD authentication the credentials may or may not be encrypted, Kerberos is an example of this when used in conjunction with AD Authentication. Cheers S

You should be able to access the switch via the command line interface once it has an address, try connecting to it using putty and specifying telnet (TCP23) and the dynamic IP address. Once connected you should be able to change the address. HTH Steve

This is sound advice, and infact if you get a basic switch that can be managed you can do an active survey with the Meraki AP when not connected to the cloud controller. I have just completed a survey today in this way and it worked very well.

Also you can see packets per sec etc. These statistics are averaged over 5 minutes but can be changed per interface with the load-interval command (available from IOS 12.4 onwards). If you are looking at LAN upgrades at anytime soon it may be worth looking at the Cisco 3850 which is a stackable switch with integrated wireless controller. Two birds one stone ? ;-)

The easiest way is to start with addressing the network, making sure you have the right number of hosts that you require on each network or vLAN. Once you have done this you can then look at summarsing the network at the relevant boundaries. Sounds like a routing issue, unlikely to be a loop between the router and the FW as the packet gets there eventually. You will need some output from the ISP to determine the issue. At the very least ask for a show ip int brief | ex unass and also a show ip route and show int counters errors. HTH Steve CCIE#10055
