It might have more to do with the NHS. Schools certainly aren't as big has hospitals and maybe the NHS just wasn't making the contracts appealing for contractors in a business case. Although I doubt we will ever know the truth. If you have an IT infrastructure and need staff to keep maintaining it, its easily obtained. Just not if your the NHS. I would be very surprised if it will have any affect on BSF.

I'm not looking for a job any more but I have noticed a downturn in job alert e-mails. Seems to be a lull currently there was loads between October and march but suddenly its just stopped. The only thing I can put my finger on is maybe uni leavers looking for jobs so there is an influx on the job market. I know exactly how you feel and have been there myself. The money isn't attractive so what else keeps a Network manager at a school? I doubt its the holidays I would expect this to be the best time for upgrades/maintenance.
