Not really sure the benefit of a tablet without wireless, you will have to get a lot of Ethernet cables, but okay. We have looked into some Dell Latitude 8 tablets for two faculty and went ahead and got them. They have to be Windows 8 Professional in order to join your domain. The other editions will not join domains. Dell had a fairly good deal where you got $200 off the tablet with purchase of a PC which we did. We do all our computer purchases through them anyway. I look forward to them coming and more testing to be done, but it should work fairly simple. Obviously check the tablets you are purchasing have an Ethernet port, otherwise you will be getting adapters for the tablets. Just strange your HT would want them, but not look into wireless first.

Thanks for the suggestion. But I'm not looking for editing software. Just merely software to capture. Ideally with simple controls. Does anyone else have any suggestions? I was stuck with google search.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some very simple freeware (or relatively cheap) video recording software for Windows 7 classroom computers. We have webcams we would like to use to record some lectures and presentations and would like a simple solution to do so and upload in high definition to an internal service similar to YouTube, no editing needed. We would either be using combined webcams and microphones which record 1080, or a webcam and a separate high quality presenter microphone depending on the classroom, already hooked up to the computer. Again, I would like to this to be relatively simple so I could easily show our PhDs and they can do it themselves. Thanks!

Can you provide some more info on how to do this? I am still having issues as we use Smart-shield and the profile is "new" every time.

Any free options for this? Does the tasks listed work?
