Since upgrading to windows 7 - Server 2012 all users home directory's show up just as "my documents" rather than defined by their user names. This is an issue for our staff that have access to the students network home drives as it not as its not possible for them to search for their home directory. Hope it make sense! Hi Please can someone help me, we have just re-imaged our network with windows 7, and installed the latest version of ranger. We want to configure the login script so that if ranger is not installed, it automatically logs the user off. Any suggestions very much appreciated :-)

Hi We are looking into implementing google apps for education, concerned about possible child protection issuses, as currenty we use easymail which is fully monitored from whereever a student types a mail, not limited to just when they type an email on one of the network computers. I appriecate there our third party applications to monitor all activity against possible child protection issues while users are using the school network. Our concern is by providing students with a google mail account we are then responsible to ensure that all use is acceptable whenever they use their account, and from whereever eg, home, BYOD etc. So our question is have google got monitioring measures in place similar to easymail, that we are able use to administer correctly and ensure complance with child protection policy?

I'm currently researching which cloud solution is the best to implement for our Academy. Interested in you comments and views. Am aware that it is a very important decision as it is likely to shape the techology we use for the coming years. Many thanks in advance

Thank you for your reply's we have used the USB cables that came with the smart boards, and they are not extended. Thanks again - Keep the suggestions coming :-)

We are currently having major issues with some of our Smart Boards, they just randomly diconnect themselves, We have updated all the Firmware and software to the latest versions. It seems to be an Electrical interference issue, as when the teacher turns the lights on or off the smart board disconnects itself!! Has anyone else had this or a simular problem - As we are keen to build a case, and need a result quickly on this is have a major impact on teaching and learning. Many thanks in advance.

Hi - We are currently converting all our old videos, so that we can store them on the network - We are looking for a solution to catogrise all the educational video/media clips that is also able to report when the content was played and act a front end interface to the end user simular to clickview that doesn't cost too much!! Anyone ideas?
