Trigger

When trying to play video on Activ Inspire it comes up with the blue cube with a ? in it. Trying to use it on a MAC with Yosemite installed and updated flash and inspire 2.4.66096. Any help much appreciated.

I've managed to get on the support page and log a ticket (which we thought our subscription had ended for, thank the various deities). Power management seems to be fine but I shall keep an eye out for that one.

We've noticed our USB tracking has suddenly stopped working in terms of blocking USB for set groups. Would this be related to it?

I just gave up on this, there wasn't really enough there education wise for me to have the time to keep messing with it. I think the only way would be to allow the ad servers which could open up a big can of worms.

That does look easier I'll have a play with that for next time thanks (I don't know why I get asked to do these things I haven't a clue!)

Having a weird problem here that probably has an easy fix. We're trying to get a mail merge with student data on it including siblings. However if a student has more than one sibling then it creates more than one document (one document for each sibling). Not sure how to give a better description really! Hope that someone has an idea. SOLVED Typical I post here and we fix it. Added family links in once for each year group with Sibling Name then added a filter to that for each year group. Fiddly so if anyone has a simple answer that would be awesome.

To the best of my knowledge the only thing that there is content modification wise is safe search and comment removal. I'll PM you a link to a video I have tried as I know there is some swearing in it.

I had a feeling you may say that. Youtube itself is fine, however if a teacher tries to play a 4oD video through youtube (if you look for big fat gypsy wedding that our sociology department were using for example) it does the same thing.

Hello again all, Two part question today, neither of which are related! First one I recon will be very easy. Can you allow a website for an individual user without having ot make a whole new policy. Main thing I am thinking is things like photography sites, personal blogs little things that I don't necessarily want everyone to get to but some users may have a valid reason to access. From what I can see and my guess the answer will be no, but I thought I'd try. Second, 4 on Demand. What a pain. I have ads blocked for obvious reasons, but without allowing them videos from 4oD (even on Youtube) will not play. Is there a way around this? Thanks in advanced all.

At the moment it's a bit of an in theory so I don't have any exact examples. I was going to add our own domain in there as I was requested to see if it would be possible (hornsea.eriding.net). I'm assuming you mean client device in which case my main target is Windows 7 based PC's and about 10 Macs (but they're macs so I'm not as worried ). Thanks for the answer

Hey, Recently moved from Censornet to Smoothwall. With censornet I could completely bypass a particular website so that it went straight through with no log etc. This was a really helpful feature especially with our own website. Is there anything like that in Smooth wall?
