Just drag an ExamText file into the window and it will open. • ADDED: Full spell-checking options have been added to the override options section in the ConfigEditorGUI. • CHANGED: The message box window was set to a font that was not consistent with the rest of EWP. • UPDATED: Spire Doc (used to convert ExamText files to DOCX files) has been updated to v9.9.7 • FIXED: A basic debug log file would be created even though ‘DebugApplication’ was set to 0. If ‘DebugApplication’ is set to 0, all basic messages are now written to the application event log which can be filtered based on event ID 17181. This will then allow you to save the filtered log file to a CSV in order to send it to EWP with your support request. • ADDED: Added a button to the ‘Extra Time Sidebar’ to start the extra time now without the need for a countdown. • CHANGED: EWP now uses the DateTime assembly versioning for its build numbers instead of the classic Major,Minor,Build,Revision versioning. Therefore, checking the current version against the online version has been changed from an integer to a long variable. • ADDED: EWP will now detect if C++ 2013 Runtime is installed upon launching. If you find out what the cause is please let me know just in case it’s an issue with the config editor.

This is a new one to me. Can you show me/create a video of the whole process? And also let me know if launching EWP from a local hard drive folder with the config in the same folder is that quicker than launching it from a shared folder/UNC path. Also are you calling the config via the shortcut or command line? If EWP resides in a separate place to the config. If you can let me know what your actual setup is, I can help further…. Thanks

Just for those that might be wondering, I’ve been gradually getting ill so no release this week, then I’m away following weekend, so will post it all being well, weekend of 11th December. Just in time for you to prep if your school is taking mocks in the new year.

Just so you all know, the next version of EWP will not follow the major,minor,build,revision versioning system. It will now follow the date time versioning system. For example: EWP currently is v5.1.0.0 Changes to: v[year].[month].[day].[hhmm] Therefore the next scheduled release due on 27th Nov midnight, would be: v21.11.27.0000 It just helps me with dating EWP without looking at the file creation date. I’m letting you know because I didn’t want to think I had gone nuts with the version numbers and you had skipped 16 versions from 5 to 21 :-)

I’ve checked the extra time button and it works for me ok, but when you send me over your config, I can test it against the latest EWP version. I will be adding an extra button to start now instead of a countdown for the next version of EWP.

Thanks, the question is very clear, why do I get an error. I’ve sorted the issue now because as soon as you import your organisation into AC2 from ASM the iPad will think they are under remote management. So having no org set or MDM server, I’ve got it working.

Still same issue, remote management screen appears. I supervised the iPad, I created a new blueprint with a profile that has the Wi-Fi network configured only and added one app. After the blueprint has been pushed, I still receive the remote management screen.

I can’t even prepare a device to be supervised now because I assume as the device is listed in ASM so therefore I will need to release the device?

I have now unassigned in ASM, let’s see how I go.

Do they even need to be enrolled in ASM? Can I just prepare and push blueprints via AC2?

Also do I need to enrol the device into School manager if I only need to use AC2? We just need a basic profile and some apps, nothing more, so would prefer to use AC2 as our MDM

None as such, Just using Apple configurator 2 and School Manager, no actual MDM is configured as it isn’t needed.
