We recently asked Infinity AMI easytrace for them to migrate it with our current paxton Net2 system so we can manage access to the doors in the building for the students we are not using paxton readers for our door readers we are using a mixture of honeywell readers and HID readers. What is happening when we print the ID cards from easytrace and it syncs across to paxton none of the ID cards will work on the doors the only way we we can get it to work is to delete the token from the student or staff in paxton which has been synched from easytrace and the reassign it with a token id that paxton assigns it does anyone know why this happening and has anyone else had an experience similar to this. Also how is your integration setup between the systems as AMI have said this is not their issue it is somethin on the paxton on the system that is causing it not to recognize the token ID from easytrace. We are also using standard 1k mifare cards. Any ideas or help to resolve this issue will be much apricated or who to speak to about this issue as we cant get support from neither paxton or ami regarding this issue as they are both are saying it is not their problem. Thanks Jweeks this is a possibility but how would we push this out so it will be installed for all users in chrome when they login rather than the just the current user.

Does anyone know of an online epub reader or any browser extensions that will work for all students when they login so they can read epub books online from reading cloud or project Gutenburg within reading cloud as we currently don't allow students the ability to download epub books. Thanks.

Are you sure making the AD security group for our Sims Users of the Power Users group will fix this on a Windows 7 machine because the Power User Group doesnt have any more special permissions than a standard user in Windows 7

Hi I know this sounds daft can somebody just please walkthrough and clarify what I need to please eithe MAt40k or Chukster.

Whenever there is a Sims Update we have to go around to every single machine and login with an administrator account and then run Start - All Programs Sims Applications - Sims.Net This is very time consuming because we have over 600 machines is there a way we can let staff do this themselves without giving them an admin account on the machines. We are also in the process of creating a new image with Sims Pre installed so if we need to give any permissions and stuff for this to work we can do this on the image before we roll it out so this problem wont occur when they have further updates.

You need to mac sure that times are not out by i think 5mins but it maybe even less you might want to setup your time in system prefences to point to your domain controllers ip address on your xserve.

I was setting up CS4 as a managed app pref and it asked me if i wanted to sign the app and I did and now whenever anyone logs in it says that they dont have permission to launch the application. I need to unsign the app so it will work how do i do this. I have tried to remove it from the managed pref and adding it back but it just adds it back without giving me the option to unsign it. The permissions for this application is correct I think it is because I selected signed instead of unsigned.

We have a server and want to add the spare disk to the C drive to create more storage. It is a HP Proliant DL380 G5. Slot 1 and 2 each have a 72GB hard disk in a mirror raid Slot 4 is the 72GB spare disk Slot 5 - 8 each have a 72GB hard disk mirrored to make it 136GB. I would like to add the spare 72GB disk in slot 4 to make more space for the 72GB mirror raid in slot 1 and 2. Is this possible withouth breaking the raid and if not what is the best way to do this please?

We have a xserve intergrated with our AD but whenever we logon as any students we get the following message The home folder for the user is located in the usual place or cannot be accessed. But when we add any students to out our All Teachers security and login with it works fine. Also it only works by adding them to this All Teachers security group so if we add make them a member of any other security groups it doesnt work.

It is happening when they are putting in employee details i am not sure what module this is. Also sims crashes when we are doing the registers if we try to do a whole class at the same time but if we do it small batches it seems ok.

It happens when the user is just inputing normal data the sims online solution doesnt give me any information regarding this error message.

Does anyone know what the above error code means and how to fix it. It says Error creating window handle: System componentModel Win32Excpetion.

We are planning to Migrate our desktops and laptops from Windows XP SP2 and 3 over to Windows 7 any good suggestions in how to go about this successfully and did problems we need to be aware of. We are currently running windows 2003 servers but we also may upgrade to W2008 server.

The developer said that the website needs linux hosting. Also as the website will have quite a bit of video clips of the work that has been done it will require a high bandwidth.
