  1. I have searched and searched for a solution to this but can't find anything. We are looking to send Automatic Replies for messages to a specified number of mailboxes during a specific time. Scenario: Automatically reply to all messages received between 5pm and 6am for all staff except support saying "We are closed and will get back to you as soon as we can" I appreciate that this can be done through a PowerShell script using Set-MailboxAutoReplyConfiguration and Task Scheduler with a filter on Get_Mailbox in order to specify the mailboxes however.... 1) It would be nice not to have to modify any existing AutoReply messages that the user may have already set, I think it would start to get messy if we checked for existing AutoReply messages and stored these temporarily until putting them back the next day. 2) Whilst script is fine, something that could be easily modified or fine tuned for example specifying different messages per user group would be great. Something such as https://www.codetwo.com/exchange-rules-pro/ would be great but sadly they require an on-prem Exchange Server and I am now 100% cloud. Does anyone know of any software solutions that can do this type of email management at an admin level?
  2. thank you vikpaw, i will try on my PC from home to double check it isn't a problem with the school filtering. also thank you for the heads up on the links and MS support. i will read through the links today and try and avoid the MS support as much as possible!!! thanks again colin.
  3. I am, rather ignorantly, struggling with what parameters I am meant to pass the Exchange Remote Connectivity tool. As the Live@Edu service is hosted by microsoft. I only have the MX server address from Microsoft, my login and the autodiscover address. I seem to be banging my head against a brick wall with this one. I may well have to give in and make a support call to Microsoft
  4. Hi, Colin here from Wilmslow High School, job title ISS Manager but basically it translates to looking after anything with a plug on the end of it. We are a large 11-16 secondary school with approximately 2000 students and over 800 desktops/laptops. Server wise we are virtual using VMWare, mainly running Server 2008 with some linux boxes. We are running SIMS.net on full MS SQL Server 2008, MS Exchange 2007, Smoothwall .
  5. Hi thanks for this, an nslookup seems to resolve as expected: Name: autodiscover.outlook.com Address: 213.199.174.107 Aliases: autodiscover.wilmslowhigh.com I will take a look and see if it is our smoothwall box blocking the ports
  6. I have setup my Live@Edu account, configured my domain for Live@Edu and can access my test eMail account using OWA without issue..... The problem comes when I try to setup an Outlook 2007 client within our school. Having worked through all of the information provided by Microsoft and setup the autodiscover record - my Outlook 2007 client will not connect At first I am informed that an encrypted connection is not possible and i will try an unencrypted connection....then big tick next to Establish network connection and big cross next to Search for myemailaddress server settings (unencrypted) "epic fail, game over" Is there anyway I can test if the autodiscover is actually working, is it possible to manually specify the Live@Edu Exchange server settings? Thank you.
