I need to replace a Western Digital SATA Hard Drive model number WD1600BEVT I know there are three types of SATA (1,2 and 3 I believe the only difference is speed) I believe the WD drive is SATA 2 can I replace it with a SATA 3 or a SATA 1? Its a 160gb disc can I replace it with one of larger capacity? is there a limit on how big I can go?

If you are not on a main throughfare, its probably someone local. Might be worth circulating a description of other vehicle and crime number to local body repairers/scrap yards.
