Hi, I'm hoping someone can help because this is really starting to get to me now. When trying to install .net framework 3.5 on my Windows 8 x32 laptop, it keeps coming up saying “Windows couldn't connect to the Internet to download necessary files. Make sure that you're connected to the Internet, and click Retry to try again.” So I look it up and find this: Installing the .NET Framework 3.5 on Windows 8 and try the CMD command instead but realised I can't actually find my Windows 8 disc which sucks. So now it's telling me to point to %DRIVE&:\sources\sxs directory (looking for the ISO or disc for Windows 8) which I can't find so it won't let me do it. Any chance anyone else has had this problem? if so, is there a way of getting round it without re-installing Windows? Thank you.

As I say, I've only really been following it over this past year and still getting there with ALL the rules, I did see a couple of stupid mistakes with the scrum like and yes I have heard he is very anti-English, but all I ever see/hear people saying (not just on Edugeek) is that the ref made us lose this game.

First of all, congrats on the new job, Second of all, it may take a couple of weeks to really get into the swing of things and you may not be able to be on your own until your CRB clears (assuming you don't have one already) so until it starts picking up, make sure you shadow your colleagues and pick up on things that will soon become your norm. After a couple of weeks, you will find it will pick up pace, you will get some teachers who will not know anything about IT and will call up for any job going and then you will get people that know how to do it but don't have the time to, key thing I found, was to be patient, as I say, you will get the odd one that will annoy you every time they ring. Normally I find that exam times and beginning of a new term are the busiest times for us, with end of terms being very calm (as normally everyone's watching DVD's) haha This is just what I have found in my job, but as everyone is saying, it maybe different for you. Don't worry, if at any time you don't know what to do/stuck on something, post up on here, there will always be someone that can help with anything you need.

I would say it's all personal preference, I love my iPhone 5 and couldn't do without it, I've been with Apple for 4 years now and it has never failed me/never had to send it back or had any problems with it, but I have friends that have the S3 which is pretty much exactly the same, just different operating system.

I would say this is only partly true, YES, there is ALOT of people looking for IT jobs and ALOT of people out of work at the moment, but at the same time, NO, I'm sorry but they are taking the lowest wage for this this role and giving it to anyone and with the technology improving every single day, IT Techs jobs are getting hard and harder day by day, we are getting asked to do more than was on our current contracts and IMHO, other people don't realise how important we are to schools/industries, near enough all GCSE/controlled assessments all have to go through computers nowwa days and sales all go through computers at industries. My position is Operational Support Assistant, which is basically, I do a bit of everything and anything here, from maintaining the server with the credit card checks on to following orders and checking stock and I'm currently on a low wage myself

I can vouch for the Peugeot 106 GTI, fantastic little cars, very light and good (ish) on petrol, Same with the Ford Puma, as a 1.7l, it's quite quick for a small car and is low, so good for handling May even be able to get a (old) VW Golf GTI, best thing about these is there are the most reliable cars EVER! but whatever you do, STAY AWAY FROM FIAT (Fix It Again Tomorrow) I have one for 6 months and ended up spending about £2.5k fixing it up and I wouldn't knock diesels just yet, most now have turbo's in and ALOT more efficient.
