  19. Brigshaw High School and Language College is looking for a highly motivated, experienced technician to join its ICT support team. Brigshaw is a thriving, popular school, occupying a large attractive site between the villages of Allerton Bywater and Kippax in the east of Leeds. There are currently 1360 pupils including 190 sixth form students. The ICT support department at Brigshaw has always strived to maintain a system which exceeds the teaching and learning needs of the whole school. Allowing children and staff access to high quality, up to date equipment and services. The ICT support team comprises of 4 full time members of staff. The team are based at Brigshaw but also support nine of our local primary schools. The team recognise the importance of a well maintained network capable of delivering the curriculum of today, whilst planning and implementing the learning aids of tomorrow. Regular ICT support team meetings enable the team to evaluate and plan for future developments. Brigshaw has over 500 PC workstations across the campus, as well as a suite of iMacs. Every classroom has a workstation, projector, visualizer and interactive whiteboard to aid the delivery of the lessons. A network delivering gigabit to each desktop, alongside a centrally managed wifi network allows access to a long list of internal and external services throughout the school day. Brigshaws virtual server environment provides a resilient backbone for our hosted services. Our moodle VLE enables our users access to course materials and activities both internally and externally, 24 hours a day. This post is a full time, permanent position.
