I had enabled "parent paths" on the folder in the website that contains the MLHD files but this didnt work. You have to enable it on the actual website i.e. "Default Web Site".

I've got the exact same problem except the file is mysql.asp, that forum link that provided CHR1S with an answer doesnt work anymore.

New School Intranet Site, DotNetNuke or Sharepoint Services?
kujina replied to kujina's topic in Web Development
I thought Windows SharePoint Services was free? Where as SharePoint Server you pay for. -
Hello all, The school's intranet site really needs to be updated. I've just been looking at DotNetNuke & Sharepoint Services. I'm primarily interested in these because I want good Active Directory integration. Which out of these two would give me these features best: 1. Transparent login. 2. Automatically entering a tailored area on the website depending on which AD-group a user belongs too. For example, school admins are presented with admin/office pages and NOT having access to the reset student password script. 3. Expandability/Customization - Free modules/webparts. 4. User Delegation, control over what appointed users can publish/edit/create. ...Thanks...

I can tell you how you can quickly do it in the context of one machine. Right click on "My Computer" go to Manage: go to "Shared Folders": go to Shares: then right click in the pane with your current shares (C$ etc): click "New File Share": click next: in the "Folder to Share:" box type in the drive letter the the stick would be assigned (F:\ for example) then in "Share Name" type something like F$ Done.

Need a platform to Archive newspaper clippings, photos etc
kujina replied to kujina's topic in Web Development
That would be handy but there are already loads of old newspaper cuttings that would go on. I need a web based system that is straight forward enough for other staff to put these things on and is easy to use for pupils and maybe public. -

Ideally they would be OCR'd I dont know how many clippings there are from the past so there could be a lot to do. DocuXplorer Software seems quite good, but I need something web based. Any other suggestions? -

Thanks for revealing Gallery2 to me look good. I'm not sure if its quite what is needed though, most of the content in this archive will be images (scans) though, plus some text to go with it. Essentially I need something where we can archive images (mainly), plus other downloads such documents and sounds possibly. These will need to be tagged with keywords to make them searchable and they need to be on a timeline. -
Hi I've been asked to set something up to archive newspaper clippings from articles on school related things. This would probably be made public and therefore be web based. It would also need to be searchable. Does anybody know of anything suitable? ...Thanks...

When registering who's name should I use as the registrant?
-
Its no go on the ac.uk domains, I spoke to JANET over the phone. I doubt highly that we will be using a name.county.sch.uk So given this context I'm thinking that the main domain should be: nameac.org Anyone disagree?
-
I can confirm we are part of the RBC, we use a .com for our current website. I've only been involved with the website etc since Jan, so excuse my ignorance on specific terms. What is the best way to proceed? We meet eligibility for ac.uk in: that we have a sixthform college (which will grow larger in the academy). tertiary education 16+ (GCE A levels & vocational qualif). But it also states - Not eligible for an ac.uk domain name Schools

I was given a list with .co.uk, .org, and .org.uk combinations to register. The same as I was thinking, thats why I'm getting opinions and advice from you guys. We are not an academy yet. What is RBC? Ideally I think ac.uk would look best but I dont think we will be seen as eligible by ja.net.

Already got a couple such as .co.uk.
