We've just replaced our Cisco Call Manager with Microsoft LYNC - all IP SIP...and it's pretty damn cool being able to get your iphone/android/win7 smartphone to get your workplace to make your calls for you from home! Cisco wasn't a bad offering - trouble is, anything we were saving in call costs went towards the maintenance cover (around £10k a year)

Hi K.C, I gathered me being a new user would put some people off - this is another reason I'd prefer collection - at least this way whoever decides they want to purchase it could come have a look and see its in the condition I say it's in - immaculate and they could also see it working. I wouldn't expect anyone to just buy it based on a description from a newbie user. 150 posts is a bit excessive - already asked my work colleagues if they had an edugeek account for over 150 postings (to which they replied "huh?") My friends just bought the 5D - it's the 7D I'd be trading it against...but he wants the cash back on it to buy another lens I've already contacted mpb but they are a business and as such need to make a cut from reselling too so I'd lose on that as well. I'm only really interested in selling all of it as the lenses are entry level lenses and I've just purchased one that cost more than the camera did so I'd like to keep hold of that and add a few L series lenses to the 7D body. That was my plan anyways but I could just sell the body and lenses seperately. Thanks for the advice anyways

Was that with or without a lense? and where from? That is really really cheap! I saw the reciept on this camera and it was around £1250+

I thought I would add my 2 pence worth... We've got 2 buildings seperated via 172.17.x.x and 172.18.x.x From this we have 2 cabs per floor (5 floors) so 10 cabs in all. Each cab has at least 2 VLANS, one for staff and one for students. Then we have VLANS for printers and projectors and phones with another VLAN per building for apple macs. In the server room we have a different VLAN for servers and netapp. We have around 200 VLANS but works really well as we know where everything is. A bit complicated if you have just one cab or only a few hundred pcs but its great for content filtering and access control!

Hi, I have for sale a barely used Canon EOS 600D with 18-55mm and 55-250mm lenses. Both lenses have had Hoya Skylight UV filters fitted from new. Also comes with charger, 8GB SanDisk SD card, additional battery and Samsonite all weather bag. Camera and lenses are boxed and in immaculate condition as the camera is only 6 months old. Has been used lightly - a trip to NYC and for my brothers final year photography module at Uni which he has now completed. Total price of the camera and 2 lenses six months ago was well over £800. This didn't include the memory card, filters, spare battery or carry case. £600 the lot - need to make way for a 7D that a friend is selling as he has just upgraded to a full frame EOS 5D mk3. The Cisco AS 5510 (more than likely an ASA not AS 5510) is an Adaptive Security Appliance - a firewall with quite a few other features - every organisation needs a firewall so it's not overkill as it's not quite the bottom of the range one they do (I'm sure there's one below that and then below that it was the PIX which I think they have been discontinued. The route is how you get your internet which is where I presume the upgrade has happened. This sits facing the internet and is connected to the ASA. The ASA has an internal port also which the coreswitch will connect to to give your DC's webserver and PC's connectivity. Our's is set up by Ja.NET so we don't have the password for that but I look after the ASA so if you need help with firewall rules, PM me.

I'd like to weigh in here - we currently use Stone - they are very good and reputable. One of our technicians used to work for Eclipse - I'm not going to start telling you about the horror stories he has told us! Needless to say, anywhere that uses a metal detector to scan their staff at the end of each day has problems. I'd go with Stone for their PC's, although HP and Viglen have been sniffing round and their demo units were good too.

Anyone using iPads as teaching aids over wifi?
